| Chapter 8: Sarah pulls up to Lucky’s house. "Here you are, Lucky." Sarah says. Lucky doesn’t hear her - he was too busy watching Liz. Liz was looking out the window and Lucky thought that she was in her own little world. To him - she looked beautiful. He was surprised that he hadn’t noticed this about her before. "Lucky!" Sarah says as she turns around and finds him looking away from Liz. "Oh, geez." "Sorry. Didn’t realize we were here." Lucky answers. Liz turns and smiles at him. "I’ll see you tomorrow then?" "Yeah. I’ll give you a call." Lucky tells her. He leans over and plants a kiss on her cheek and then gets out of the car. He walks up the stairs of his front porch and watches the car drive away. Luke hears his son pull up and opens the door and sees his son watching the car. "What’s this?" Luke asks. Lucky turns around as he hears his dad’s tone. "Huh?" ####################################################################### The Doctor takes a chair and sits next to Emily. "Do you want your parents to hear this?" "I guess so." Emily says as Alan and Monica walk in. They see the Doctor and walk over to him. "What’s going on?" Alan asks. "I was just about to tell Emily about her condition. Now, she had a high level of drugs in her system when she came in here. They have leveled off now. We can let her go home tonight, but she is going to have to come in for counseling and for treatment. It’s going to be rough, but I don’t think sticking her somewhere to recover would be good for her. I think she needs her family around. So, why don’t you take her home and make sure she gets plenty of rest. She can come back for some counseling at 9:00 a.m. tomorrow." The Doctor tells them. "Thank you." Monica answers. "Your welcome. Emily you get some rest and we’ll be seeing you around tomorrow." The Doctor says and then gets up to leave. "Ready to go home?" Alan asks his daughter. "Please." Emily answers. Alan goes to sign her papers as Monica helps Emily get out of the gown and into her clothes. ####################################################################### Liz sits in the back seat on the way home. She notices Sarah looking at her through the mirror. Liz rolls her eyes and tries to focus her attention elsewhere. "She was jealous." Liz thinks to herself. Sarah can’t help but watch Liz. Were her and Lucky and item now? What was going on? "What could Lucky possibly see in my sister?" Sarah wonders. They pull up to the driveway and Sarah turns off the car. Liz reaches to unlock the door. "Wait a minute." Sarah says as she turns around. "What?" Liz asks. "What is going on with you and Lucky? I mean, are you seeing him?" Sarah asks. Liz couldn’t believe this. Sarah had turned Lucky away because she had the hots for Nikolas and now that her and Lucky were getting closer, Sarah was jealous. Liz opens the door. "That is none of your business." Liz says and then gets out of the car and heads into the house. "What?" Sarah whispered. She locked the doors and headed into the house. ####################################################################### Liz walked in the door and sees her Gram sitting on the couch reading a book. "Hey, Gram." "Hi, dear. How is Emily doing?" Audrey asks. "I’m not sure. The Doctor cut visitors. She might be going home, but I’m sure she will have some kind of treatment." Liz says. "I hope she gets better. Where is your sister? Wasn’t she the one with the car?" Audrey asks her grandaughter. "Yeah. She’ll be in soon. She is..." Liz begins, but Sarah comes in before she can finish. "Oh, Sarah - there you are." Audrey says. "Hi, Gram. Gram, did Nikolas call by any chance?" Sarah asks. "No. Why?" "Oh, nothing." Sarah says as the smile leaves her face. "Sarah, is there something you want to talk to me about?" Audrey asks. ######################################################################## Lucky turns around to his dad. "What do you mean?" Lucky asks. "Was there a certain Webber girl in that car? Sarah maybe?" Luke says with a smirk. "Yeah, but who cares about her. Hey, can I have some money for tomorrow night. I have a date." Luke tells him. "With who?" Luke asks him. "Elizabeth Webber."
