| Chapter 6: Emily sat up in her hospital bed as she stared at Matt. He was looking at her, but a word didn't come out of his mouth right away. "Matt, you didn't answer my question. What are you doing here?" Emily asks curiously. Matt moves a litle closer to Emily in awkward movements. "I - uh, I heard you were in here. I - um, I wanted to make sure you were ok." Matt says uneasily. "You shouldn't be here. I think you should go." Matt walks over to her and touches her hand. "I'm so sorry this happened. I never meant for it to happen. I didn't...." A tear falls down her face. She could tell that he felt guilyt and maybe alittle sorry, but that wasn't good enough. If she hadn't needed a friend so bad she wouldn't have gotten herself into this mess. ######################################################### Monica and Alan make their way over to where everyone was standing. "How is she?" Ned asks. "I'm not quite sure. I think she's a little embarrassed and scared. Jason and Carly - she's asking to see you guys." Monica tells them. "Both of us?" Carly asks. "Yeah." Alan answers. "All right. Carly, let's go see her." Jason replies. He takes ahold of her hand and makes his way towards Emily's room. ######################################################### Sarah turns to Nikolas. "We should get going. We cna come and see her later." Nikolas just gives her a dirty look and walks over to Emily's family. "Will I be able to see her tonight?" "I'm not sure, Nikolas. Probably not tonight." Alan tells him. Monica walks over to Sarah, Lucky and Liz. Alan and Nikolas follow her over there. "Why don't you guys go home and get some rest. We'll update you about Emily. You all can come and see her tomorrow." Monica tells them. "I wanted to say goodbye." Lucky tells her. "I don't know if she will be able to have anymore visitors after Jason and Carly. The Doctor will probably hold off on that. I'll tell her you'll be back tomorrow." "All right. Tell her that I know she can beat this and I'll be by to see her tomorrow." Lucky says. "I will. Thanks for everything, Lucky." Monica tells him. Monica and Alan walk back over to Ned and AJ. ######################################################### "I guess we should go." Sarah says. "G*D, Sarah. What's happened to you? You use to be Miss sweet and nice. And now you're..." Lizz begins, but stops herself from going any further. "I'm what!" Sarah yells. "Nothing. Look, I'm not going to argue with you about this. I'm going to call Gram for a ride home." Liz responds. "I have the car. I'll drop Lucky off. I'll meet you guys in the car. I have to talk with Nikolas for a second." Sarah says. "All right. Lucky let's go." Liz says. Lucky and Liz walk out of GH and towards the parking lot. ######################################################### Jason and Carly walk in Emily's room and see her crying. They see a boy standing next to her. Carly puts her hand on Jason's arm - stopping him from saying anything right away. "Matt, just go." Emily says through her tears. "But, Em..." "Just go!" She yells. Carly looks at Emily and then Jason. She gives him a look - the "go ahead" look. "Emily, what is going on? Who is this?" Jason asks her. ######################################################### Sarah steps closer to Nikolas. "I'm sorry about before." "Sarah, forget it. No, wait - I don't get it. I thought you liked Emily." He says. "I do. But I think you might like her a little too much. Is it me you want to be with or is it Emily Quartermaine?" Sarah asks. ######################################################### Liz and Lucky hop in the backseat of the car. Lucky sits close to her and just smiles. She smiles back, but is a little nervous being this close to him and being alone. "Thank you for today. It meant alot." Lucky whispers. "Your welcome. I hope she will be ok." Liz answers back. "Me, too. I won't let her go through that alone." "I know you won't. You two are close and that's what you do. Your there for them. I really like that about you. The way you are with the people you care about - it's like you protect them." She whispers. "Liz?" Lucky says. "Yeah?" She replies. "Would you like to go out sometime?" He asks. |
