| Chapter 4: Lucky stayed with Emily until the Doctor came back in. Emily sat up when the Doctor told her he needed to run some tests. "I will be outside and I will come back when your done, ok?" Lucky says with a smile. "Ok. Thank you, Lucky." Emily whispers. "Hey. What are friends for?" Lucky replies. Lucky steps out of Emily’s room and begins to walk down the hall towards the cafeteria. ############################################################# Lizzie sees Lucky walking and she gets up and walks over to him. "Hey. How is she?" Lucky stops and looks at her. He wondered if this was the same Liz he knew. Was she really worried about someone other than herself? Could he have misjudged her? "Ok, I guess. I’m worried, though." Lucky says. Lizzie puts her hand on his shoulder and when her eyes meet him she smiles. He smiles back at her. "It will be ok. She will be ok." "I am so mad at myself. How could I let her go through this alone? How couldn’t I have known? This is all my fault." Lucky mutters. Lizzie takes his hand and places it in hers. "Don’t you say that. This is not your fault. You are here as her friend now and will help her through it. That’s what’s important....that’s what counts." Lizzie tells him. Lucky steps away and shakes his head. "I just want to hit someone or something." Lucky says with frustration. "You can take your frustrations out on me. But, I don’t think hitting will be a smart choice for you.....you never know what moves I have up my sleeve." Liz says with a smirk. Lucky smiles and lets out a little laugh. That was one thing Liz could do.....she could make him laugh. He watched her laugh and smiled at how her eyes lit up when she smiled. "See, I got you to smile at least. Come on, why don’t you come with me for a walk outside and then we will come back in a few minutes." Lizzie says. "Well, only for a few minutes. She is having some tests done, anyway." Lucky says. Lizzie takes his hand in hers and they walk out of GH. ############################################################# Sarah and Nikolas had watched Lucky and Liz the whole time. There was definately something different about them Sarah thought. "What was that all about?" Nikolas asks. "You noticed it, too?" Sarah asks. "How could I not? I’ve never seen your sister like that. She was......she was so nice." Nikolas said in disbelief. "I have no idea." Sarha whispers. ############################################################ Ned finishes telling Alan and Monica all about him and AJ finding Emily on the roof. They couldn’t believe Emily was on drugs and they hadn’t even noticed. "Thank you, both." Monica says. "Yeah. Thank you." Alan repeats. "We were just glad to help." AJ tells them. "I wonder when they will bring her back from taking those tests. I want to see her and make sure she’s all right." Monica says. They hear someone calling their name and they see Jason and Carly coming down the hall. "Jason, what are you doing here?" Alan asks. ############################################################### Liz and Lucky made their way out to the park by GH. To Lucky’s amazement Liz was very supportive of what was going on and she actually wanted to help. "You know, you don’t have to stay." Lucky says. "I want to. I want to be here for you." Liz replies. Liz wanted Lucky to know that she was going to be by his side. She wasn’t sure what was appropriate, but she figured a hug wouldn’t hurt. She moved closer to him and brought her close to him and wrapped her arms around him for a hug. He wrapped his arms around her and he let her help him. |
