-Chapter 2-
~Memories from the past~

Emily paced around the living room. Never in a million years did she ever think something would happen between her and Lucky. Defiantly not now, things had changed between them and now Sly was back and they would have to explain it to him. She took a deep breath and began to chew on her left thumb nail. She hadn’t even realized she was until Reginald walked into the room and gave her a odd look. "Emily, Lucky Spencer is here to see you. I’ll send him in."

"Thanks Reginald."

Lucky walked into the room and saw her totally nervous.

"Emily, are you okay?"

Emily turns around and sees Lucky. Her nervousness subsides slightly.

"I’m fine. Sit down."

Lucky sits down and looks at Emily.

"So what is this all about?"

"Sly thinks for some odd reason that you and I would be a couple by now. I thought you should be here when he finds out were not."

"Where did he get a crazy idea like that?"

"Apparently when we were younger everyone figured that you and I would end up as a couple. Since Sly has been gone for the past few years though he hasn’t seen what’s become of our friendship."

"Emily what are you talking about?"

"Your kidding me right?"

"No, why what did I miss?"

"Lucky, when was the last time you were over here?"

"Don’t know. I guess it has been a while."

"Almost a year."

"Wow."

Reginald walks in.

"A Sly to see you Emily."

"Send him in."

After Reginald leaves Emily looks at Lucky. She’s not sure what she should be thinking or what she’s about to say. After a few moments and tall, blond haired, brown eyed teenage boy walks in. The moment Emily sees him her jaw drops. Lucky sees this and doesn’t like it. He’s not sure why but he just doesn’t.

"Sly, no way you can’t be Sly." Emily said in shock at the attractive man in front of her.

"Well, I am Sly. Are you sure your Emily Bowen?"

"Emily Bowen-Quartermaine now. I am defiantly sure."

Sly looks at Lucky squints his eyes and smiles.

"Lucky, same ol’ ugly mug. You haven’t changed one bit."

"Sly, how come I didn’t get a letter?"

"Wasn’t sure if you could read yet."

"Cute Sly."

Lucky looks at Emily. He sees her somewhat mesmerized by Sly. It makes no sense to him. He begins to develop a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach.

"So how are the happy couple." Sly remarked. Before Emily could say anything to the contrary,

"Were amazingly happy." Emily’s eyes widen and her jaw drops at what Lucky had just said.

"Sly could you excuse us for a moment?" Emily asked.

"Sure."

Emily grabs Lucky’s arm and drags him out onto the patio.

"Spencer, what the hell was that about?"

"Um…Well I figure Sly will only be in town for the summer. We pretend were dating right now and either break up sometime this summer or after he goes back to school."

"Lucky, this sounds like something from Beverly Hills 90210 or Melrose Place."

"Really, I thought it was more like Dawson’s Creek."

"No 90210, Joey, Pacey, Dawson, and Jen would never pull anything like this."

"Okay. Come on, it’ll only be a few weeks."

"Okay. But only because it’s you Spencer."

Lark was pacing, something was off. She didn’t trust this Kathryn-Corrin person. I mean if she was really Frank and Joe’s sister how come they never mentioned her. There were too many lose ends. Julie came in and Lark knew she would be yelled at for something.

"Lark, why in the world is there smoke coming form one of the upstairs windows? Wait if your down here then…Oh my god the house is on fire!"

"Julie clam down, this isn’t my fault."

Julie looks at Lark. The look saying, if not then who.

"Okay, I tried to call one of you. This nutty girl came barging into the house today when the door was locked. She had a key. She claims to be Frank and Joe’s sister. Kathryn-Corrin, she claims she’s studying to become a nun. I know this sounds crazy but I’m telling you this girl just walked in. I swear I’ve been trying to get through to one of you. Joe and you were on rounds or something and Frank’s beeper is turned off."

"Lark, if this is one of your little schemes your not getting away with it."

"Julie I swear it’s not!"

Frank walked in the door and saw Julie and Lark.

"What’s going on here?"

"Frank do you have a sister." They said at the same time.

"Yeah, I have two sisters."

"Since when!?" Julie asked.

"Since they were born. What brought this up?"

"The fact that this freaky chick shows up, say’s you’re her brother, takes her things and goes upstairs." Said Lark.

" Also when I got home I saw smoke coming from the upstairs window and when I came in the house Lark was in the kitchen. I don’t think she would be that careless."

"Will one of you please explain what your talking about?"

"Again, this trippy chick comes in claims she’s your sister Kathryn-Corrin or something like that. Then she goes up stairs with her stuff. Julie comes home and sees smoke coming from one of the windows upstairs. Do you understand now Frank?"

Frank walks over to the steps going upstairs.

"Kathryn-Corrin Mary-Rose-Irene Scanlon front and center right now!"

A few moments later the young girl who had meet lark earlier that day appeared. Now she was wearing a pair of tight blue jeans and tight tee shirt. Franks jaw drops.

"KC Scanlon, what on earth?"

"Hi’ ya Frank."

"What are you doing here?"

"I’m not becoming a Nun, so I had to come back to PC."

"What are you wearing?"

"Cloths."

"Another smart-Alec, your worse then Lark."

"Thanks Brother dear. Where’s Joe?"

"He’s at work. Julie say’s she saw smoke coming form one of the window upstairs. Care to explain?"

"Not really but I’ll tell you anyway."

"Well go ahead."

" Okay the truth is, well gosh how do I tell my big brother I was lighting Candles as I was praying. Gees what did you think I was doing smoking pot?"

"Well I wasn’t sure." Frank allowed the words to stumble off his tongue.

KC rolled her eyes. She couldn’t believe Frank could think such a thing. Suddenly a thought hit her. What was her mother and her brother Joe going to do when they found her home.

"So Joe’s at the hospital, what about Mom?" She asked.

"There both there." Julie answered.

"Well I’m gonna go say hi. I figure if their going to have heart attacks then in the hospital is the best place. Bye all."

KC picks up a set of house keys and leaves. Larks sitting at the table not sure what to think. Julie walks over to Frank and puts a hand on his shoulder.

Elizabeth walked through the Park. She adjusted her skirt as she looked around. She was able to do it. She could sit in the park and not have a nervous break down. She scanned the area where she was. Something was different. She suddenly seemed to have more self confidant then she had been in the past few months. For the first time she could stand on her own. She didn’t need Lucky to be there for her always.

Nikolas Cassadine walked over to the fountain. He could feel the hot sun on the back of his neck. He sighed to him self and scanned the area around him with his eyes. Suddenly his eyes caught sight of Elizabeth Webber. Not only had he seen her she had seen him and there eyes were locked. Suddenly there was a connection between them. Nikolas resisted the urge to walk over to her. Elizabeth looked away coyly. Something was going on and neither knew what it was.

Madeline and Alexis walked into the Grille of the PC hotel. Madeline took a deep breath. This was going to be hard. She had to tell her mother the truth. As they sat down at a table Madeline looked up from here menu.

"Mother, I have something to tell you."

"What is it Maddie?"

"Mother, I’m going to be honest with you."

"Madeline what did you do or what are you going to do?"

"Mother, I’ve decided not to go to college."

"Why?" Alexis tried to hide the hurt and disappointment she felt.

"Truthfully, I want to experience life a little more. Most of my life I’ve been shut up in one boarding school after another. I have a year left in school before I can go on to college but right now I don’t think I could go on to another school."

"Maddie, I thought you understood why I had you in boarding school?"

"Mother, because of Helena. I know that but I’ve been closed off from a lot of the world. What I’m saying is I may make a rash decision. Run off with the first guy that looks at me softly."

"Maddie, I understand completely. I think I can make arrangements for you to go to Port Charles High school for your senior year IF that’s what you want by the end of July. But until then I expect you to make some friends but to stay out of trouble."

"Really Mother? I promises to stay out of trouble."

"Okay, Now let’s order dinner."
