Chapter 37: Liz and Lucky, as well as everyone in hte church whirled to see who
had called out. All the possible people who couild object flashed through Liz's
mind. She pictured her aprents back there, ready to ruin her wedding day. Sarah had come,
they knew it was happening. They had ruined so much, were they going to spoil this for her
too? Lucky, as well, pictured Liz's parents back there. THis time
however, Lucky would be happy for an excuse for his fist to connect with Jeff Webbers
nose. Lucky would never hit a woman, but he wished Caroline would fall down a couple
flights of stairs. Everyone else in hte church was shocked as well at the turn of
events. Who could object to their marriage? THe figure at the back of the church laughed, "Don't look so
shocked everyone! I don't abject to the marriage itself, don't worry. I just wouldn't let
my 2 best friends get married without my blessing." "Emily!" Liz exclaimed. Emily Bowen-Quartermaine started to walk down the aisle, "I'm
sorry to shock you guys, but there was no way my 2 best friends were getting married
without me there." Liz hugged her, "What happened to your photo shoot in NY?" Emily waved her hand,"Postponed, like I said. I wanted to be
here." "Thanks EM," Lucky said, "It's great you could make
it." "Trust me Lucky," Emily said, hugging him as well,
"It was nothing." "NOw, if you'll excuse me, I've amde enough of a scene. I'll go
find a seat like a good guest adn let you people continue." Sarah stepped forward akwardly, "Liz, you know..if you want Em
to be your maid of honor...." Liz shook her head, "Sarah, i was kidding earlier. I want you
to be my maid of honor. Em, you can stand up here as a bridesmaid though." "I guess so," Em conceded self-consiously, "If you're
sure." Liz smiled, "Of course I'm sure. I have my sister and one of my
best friends here to support me, the perfect way to be married." Em smiled at Liz and went to stand beside Sarah. THe minister didn't know quite how to proceed. He stood there,
flustered, about all that had transpired. "Just continue from where you left off," Liz whispered. |
