| Chapter 2: Lucky stands up and starts to pace around the room. He couldn’t believe what his father was telling him. Emily? Overdosing on drugs? It just couldn’t be. He knew her better...She wouldn’t do that. “This is all my fault.” Lucky whispers. “What? Why would you say that?” Luke asks his son. “I haven’t been around for her lately. I’ve been too preoccupied with Sarah.” Lucky says not realizing Sarah was listening. He looks at her and she looks at him. He shrugs it off because his concern was about Emily now, not Sarah. “Look, Lucky....Emily had to have been doing this for awhile. Who could have gotten her involved in this? Do you know anyone she hangs around that is bad news?” Luke asks. “No. Wait a minute. I’m going to kill him.” Lucky says with anger. “Stop that. You wouldn’t want to go to jail. You need to be with Emily right now.” “I have to go see her, Dad. I can’t let her go through this alone. She has to know that I am here for her. Let’s go.” Lucky says. Lucky storms out of Lukes with his father righ behind him. Sarah and Nikolas just look at each other and then sit down without a word being said. Lizzie looks at them and can’t believe they aren’t going to the hospital, too. “Selfish.” Lizzie whispers under her breath. Lizzie makes her way over to their table. “I can’t believe you two. Sarah, you say Lucky is your friend and then you just go back to your boyfriend when he needs you the most. I can’t believe you! I’m going.” Lizzie says and then storms out of Kelly’s. Sarah looks at Nikolas. “She’s right. I should go. Um...Will you come with me?” Sarah asks. “Well....yeah, we better go.” Nikolas says. They get up and head to GH. ################################################################ Monica runs through the Quartermaine mansion looking for Alan. “Alan! Alan!” She yells. She finally finds him on the phone. Alan hangs up the phone as he sees his wife in a state of panick. “What? What is it?” “Alan, it’s Emily. She’s overdosed and is at GH.” monica tells him. “What?” Alan says in disbelief. “Ned and AJ stopped her from jumping off a window.” Monica says. Alan takes Monica’s hand and leads her out the door without one more word. Monica has tears streaming down her face on her way to GH. ############################################################### The Doctor tries to get Emily to let go of AJ’s arm. “Emily, we need to see that arm.” “No! Don’t put a needle in me! No!” Emily screams in fear. AJ leans down and looks at her. “It will be ok. The Doctor is here to help you. I will be right here. I won’t let you do this alone. I love you.” AJ tells her. With tears streaming down her face Emily loosens her grip on AJ’s arm and the Doctor takes it. Emily looks up at AJ, so she can control herself. She knows with him there she would be ok. He was the only one that had been there for her lately. ############################################################## Luke and Lucky storm through GH and run over to Ned. “Ned, how is she?” Lucky asks. “We’re not sure. I’m glad your here, Lucky.” Ned says. “Can I see her?” Lucky asks. “She’s with the Doctor right now. Only family is suppose to visit, but I’ll allow it.” Ned tells him. The Doctor comes out of Emily’s room. Ned and Lucky walk over to him. “How is she?” Ned asks. “We are going to have to run some tests. She is on the edge right now.” The Doctor says. “A friend is here to see her. I know you don’t normally allow it, but I think he will do some good.” Ned says. “Ok. If you don’t mind.” The Doctor says. Ned gives Lucky the ok signal. Lucky makes his way over to Emily’s room and opens the door slowly. Emily and AJ look at him as he walks in. “Lucky, what are you doing here?” Emily asks. “I’m where I should be. I’m here for you.” Lucky says with a slight smile. |
