| Chapter 11: ~The Next morning around 10~ Lucky woke up that morning and Luke dropped him off at the Quartermaine’s to see Emily. Emily was returning from therapy around 9 so he thought it would be ok to come at 10. Alan was on his way out when Lucky walked up to the door. "Hi. Go on it. She will be glad to see you." Alan says. Lucky walks in and goes into the living room where Emily usually is. Emily turns around when she sees him. "Hey." "Hi. How are you doing today? How did the therapy go?" Lucky asks. "It went. Actually it went pretty well. It gave me a lot to think about." Emily says. "I’m glad it went well. I want you to know that I will be here for you so you make it through it all." Lucky tells her. "I know. So, I heard you and Liz spent a lot of time together at the hospital. I was kind of shocked about that. I thought you liked Sarah." Emily says drilling him. "I thought so too, but Liz is so different than when I said. She was really concerned about you and was there for me while I was worried about you. It was funny, she knew all the right words to say." Lucky says with a smile. "Aw....you like her." Emily says with a little laugh. Lucky shakes his head and smiles at first. "Yeah, I do." "Does she know?" Emily asks. "We have a date tonight." Lucky informs her. "Oh, cool. Can’t wait to hear how it goes." Emily says. "Em, I am here to help you not talk about my love life." Lucky says. "You are helping me. It’s good to talk about other things besides my drug addiction. Us just talking like we use to is what makes me feel better. Besides, I know that I want to get past this drug thing and I will do anything to make sure it happens." Emily tells him. "I’m really glad. I worry about you, you know." Lucky says. "Well, don’t. I will be just fine." Emily says. Emily starts to yawn and Lucky can tell that she is tired, so he tells her he’ll go but that he’ll be by tomorrow to check on her. Emily thanks him and Lucky gives her a kiss on the cheek. ########################################## Liz walks back into the house and finds her grandmother coming out of the kitchen. "Elizabeth, when is your date with Lucky?" She asks. "He is going to pick me up at 5." Liz says. "Where are you two going?" Audrey asks. "We are going to go to dinner and to a movie." Liz says with a bright smile. "That will be fun. What are you going to wear?" "I hadn’t thought of that. I don’t have anything really." "Should we go shopping for something nice?" Audrey asks her. "Really, Gram? Can we really do that? That would be so great." Liz beams. "Let’s go, dear." Audrey says. ################################################# Sarah waits for Nikolas at the park. She smiles as she sees couples walking by and talking and laughing with each other. She remembered all the times her and Nikolas did that. She missed that. After the other night at the hospital, she wasn’t sure if they would ever have those type of times again. Nikolas approached her with a white daisy in his hand. Sarah walked towards him and smiled up at him. Just seeing him made her realize just how much she missed spending quality time together. "I wasn’t sure you’d come." Sarah whispers. "I told you I would. How are you?" Nikolas asks. "Not good. I feel bad about the other day. I miss you so much. I feel like I’ve lost you already." Sarah says as she looks down at the ground. |
