Chapter 1:

Emily sat at her window reading a copy of Gone With The Wind. She put the book down and looked out at the night sky. 'Some day. Someday my prince will come.' She said trying to give herself some hope. Here she was a Junior in College, living at home and she hadn't been kissed in five years. Not since the night Lucky left town.

When Emily thought back to that night she could still feel his lips press against hers. It was something she had never, ever expected to happen but it had. She was the only one he even told he was leaving. They had finally gained the trust they had lost years before.

Emily and Lucky are on the docks. Elizabeth is at the Cottage decorateing with Nikolas. Since Nikolas and Elizabeth had been spending almost all there time together. Not that Emily really cared. It was kind of nice to have Lucky back in her life.

However it was one April afternoon when the two friends were sitting on the docks, eating Grape snow-cones and talking about there Algebra homework.

"Numbers just are not my strong suit Lucky. They were a while ago when we were younger but as soon as the Letters got mixed in I got lost."

"Don't worry Em, you'll figure it out." He said with a distant look on his face.

"Spencer, what's going on. Something other then Mrs. Wagner's Aglebra test is. You know you can trust me."

"Yeah I can." He said takeing her hand in his. "Emily, you know I've been working for Jason and Sonny right?"

"Yeah I told Jason if anything happens to you I'll never speak to him again. Why?" She asked suddenly becoming worried.

"I saw something Em, it's not safe for me here anymore. I...I have to leave town. Your the only person other then Sonny and Jason who know I'm leaving."

"Lucky, you can't do this. You hated this life."

"I know but I figure that if I run now then I can come back some day and start over. Do you understand?"

"Of course I do. Besides it's in your blood to do this. You need the adventure. Life's been kinda hum-drum around here the past few months."

    "You've always been understanding Emily."

"Yeah well your easy to understand when you want to be."

Lucky leans closer and smiled, "I'm leaving to night. I want to say good bye to you then at the train station. Will you meet me?"

"Of course. I'll even pack you a lunch. It's the least I could do for my best-friend."

"Thanks, and Em. Please don't tell Nikolas and Elizabeth I'm leaving."

    "I won't. Just make me a promise."

    "Anything."

"Come back one hot summer night, and find me and we can go to the warft for Snow-Cones."

"Sure, I'll be back just to keep that promise to you."

Emily had climbed out of her window at about 10:30 to make sure she got to the station in time to say good bye. As Emily walked onto the Platform of the station she saw Lucky with his duffle bag waiting for her.

"Hey, I was starting to think you wouldn't come."

    "And miss saying good-bye never."

"Great. Em could you do me a favor?"

    "What?"

"Give these to the apporiate people." He said handing her five envelopes.

"Of course." She said takeing them and putting them in her bag.

    "I'm gonna miss you Emily."

    "I'll miss you."

"I have something for you. Hopefully something to remember me by." He siad taking out a small gift-wrapped package.

    "Thanks." She said softly.

The train conductor started to yell. "All Abord!"

"Bye Emily." Lucky said and wrapped his arms tightly around her. He leaned in there mouths meeting and he kissed her.
