Chapter 6:

“What Lucky?” Emily asks full of curiosity.

“I, wait Emily lets go now is not the time.” Lucky says.

Just as they get ready to leave a older couple walks over to them and the old lady says to Emily, “You know young lady, you have a great man here, the way he looks at you its like the way Ed looked at me when we were that age. To see him singing that song to you was like the day Ed first told me that he loved me and to think 40 years later we’re still together.”

Ed says to Lucky, “That young lady you were dancing with are just like Emma and I were at your age. She really loves you, you can see it in the way that she looks at you.”

The couple leaves and Emily and Lucky look at each other and burst out laughing.

“Come on Em, lets go.” Lucky said.

“Where exactly are we going?” Emily asked.

“The docks.” Lucky replied.

“The docks? Why are we going there?” Emily asked.

“You’ll see.” Lucky said.

They walk to the docks hand-in-hand both of them are thinking about what the couple told them.

Emily thinking, “Do I really love Lucky? I know I use to have a crush on him but, could he really love me? I don’t think that he really does I mean look at how fat I am, why would he want me when he could have any *thin* girl he wants?”

Lucky thinking, “I know I love Em, I mean I almost told her after we were done dancing. But could she really love me? *Lucky looks over at Emily* She is so beautiful, she could have any guy that she wants, but would she want me? I have to tell her how I feel.”

They arrive at the docks and Emily notices a blanket laid out with a radio and a picnic basket on it. Lucky smiles and thinks to himself, “Thank you Liz.”

“Lucky when did you do this?” Emily asked.

“When you were in the bathroom I called Liz and she came and did this.” Lucky answered.

They go and sit down on the blanket and Lucky reaches into the picnic basket and pulls out an apple pie.

“Lucky, how much food do you have in there?” Emily asked.

“Just this I figured since at the restaurant we had snowcones here we could have a real desert.” Lucky said.

“Oh I see, but I’m not very hungry.” Emily said.

“Ok I’ll cut you a small piece.” Lucky said, as he handed her a little piece of apple pie, Lucky cuts himself a small piece, too.

“This is good is it Ruby’s?” Emily asked.

“Yep, it is. I had Liz pick-up this pie and a bottle of sparkling water do you want some?” Lucky asked. As he pulls out two Champaign glasses.

“Sure.” Emily says as she takes the glass and drinks half of it. Lucky finished his pie and is reaching over to turn the radio on. Emily finishes her pie and looks around until she spots a restaurant.

“Lucky, I’m going to go over to that restaurant and use the restroom, I’ll be right back.” Emily says.

“Ok sure.” Lucky says.

Lucky looks down at his watch and thinks to himself, “Ok ten minutes until it comes on. Hurry up Em. She can’t miss this.”

Emily ran to the restaurant and went into the bathroom. She looked around to see if anyone was in there and she went into a stall and stuck her fingers down her throat and made herself throw-up. Sighing as she got up to wash her hands she realized that she didn’t bring her purse with her. She rinsed her mouth out with water and then she ran back to were Lucky was. Lucky looked at his watch again, “Its going to start soon were is she?” Lucky thought.

“Lucky hey what are you thinking about?” Emily asked.

Lucky quickly turned the radio up just in time to here the announcer say, “We have a special request going out to Lucky and Emily from Liz who says ‘I thought of this song the first time I say you two together’ and here goes “Something To Talk About” By Bonnie Raitt”

**Something To Talk About By Bonnie Raitt Luck Of The Draw CD**

People are talking, talking 'bout people
I hear them whisper, you won't believe it
They think we're lovers kept under covers
I just ignore it, but they keep saying
We laugh just a little too loud
We stand just a little too close
We stare just a little too long
Maybe they're seeing something we don't, Darlin'.

*They both look at each other, and Emily says, “Lucky do you want to dance?”

I feel so foolish, I never noticed
You'd act so nervous,
Could you be falling for me?
It took a rumor to make me wonder
Now I'm convinced I'm going under
Thinking 'bout you every day
Dreaming 'bout you every night
Hoping that you feel the same way
Now that we know it, let's really show it, Darlin'.

*They are dancing slowly on the docks listing to the music unaware of the people walking by watching them.*

Let's give them something to talk about
Let's give them something to talk about
Let's give them something to talk about
How about love, love, love, love?

Let's give them something to talk about
A little mystery to figure out
Let's give them something to talk about
How about love, love, love, love?

“Um Lucky I have to tell you something,” Emily pauses as she talks a deep breath, “I know this is our first date, but we’ve been friends for a long time I guess I never noticed until tonight that Lucky Spencer, I love you. I’m sure you probably think..”

“Emily I love you too.” Lucky said. As he said that Emily started to cry and Lucky reached up and wiped the tears away from her cheeks and he leaned in and kissed her.

Chapter 7:

As they broke away, from there kiss, Emily starts laughing and says, “Lucky Spencer, you set me up, the dance, the song, the snow cones.”

Lucky smiles and answers, “Yeah what if I did, I didn’t tell Liz, to request this song she was suppose to request ‘All My Life’.

“Lucky, your so sweet, I really hate to do this but I have to get home my curfew is in ten minutes and we have to walk.”

*They are walking to the Quartermaine’s holding hands*

“Lucky, how long have you been planing that?” Emily asked.

“I don’t know about a week.” Lucky said.

“Lucky, how long have you known that you love me?” Emily asked.

“Remember, the day when the modeling agency called and told you that...” Lucky stopped in the middle of his sentence because he noticed the tears welling up in Emily’s eyes.

Emily thinking, “Yeah how could I forget, that day.”

Lucky continues, “Well I think I always have, ever since we ran-away together, but I was to naive to notice or to actually admit it to you or myself. How about you?”

“When we were dancing in the restaurant and you were singing the song to me. I think that I always have known too.”

By this time the tears in Emily’s eyes started to fall down her cheeks, Lucky noticed and stopped walking and reached over and gave her a hug and said, “Oh Em, its ok you’ll be ok.”

“Lucky, thanks for being here for me. Your the best friend I could ever have.” Emily said.

Lucky reached up and brushed the last remaining tears off her cheeks and kissed her. When they got to the Quartermaine’s Emily looked at Lucky and said, “I love you, call me tomorrow ok?”

“I love you, too. I will call you tomorrow.” Lucky said.

They kissed and Emily went inside. When Emily was in her room she changed out of her dress and put some shorts and a tee-shirt on and put a jazzerecise tape in and started doing that. When it was done she jumped in the shower and changed into her pj’s. As Emily laid down in her bed her stomach growled and she sighed and reached under her bed and grabbed the rice-cakes. She took one out and looked at it and ate it quickly she tied the bag shut and put it under her bed where she wouldn’t be able to see it.

*The next day.*

Emily woke up, and glanced at the clock 8:00.

Emily thinking, “Shoot, I over slept.”

She ran downstairs to find the family in the living room arguing about the docks.

Monica, noticed Emily came in the room and asked, “Emily how was your date with Lucky?”

Emily heard Lucky’s name and she smiled and said, “Wonderful.”

She looked at the tray of food and noticed apples she grabbed on and said, “I’m going to go take a shower.”

She got upstairs and threw the apple away. Instead of taking a shower she put a exercise tape in and did that for an hour, then she went and rode the stationary bike that they have. She looked at the clock 10:30 I better get ready. She went upstairs to her room took some of the diet pills and decided not to have a Slim-fast for fear that it would make her fat.

The phone rang and Emily answered it, “Hello.”

Lucky said, “Hey Emily.”

“Lucky hey so what are you doing today?” Emily asked.

“Hopefully spending it with the most beautiful girl in Port Charles.” Lucky said.

“Lucky your cheating on me already, I’m shocked I thought you’d last at least a week.” Emily answered.

“Emily I meant you. So do you want to go to Kelly’s?” Lucky asked?

“Um sure I guess, what time?” Emily asked.

“How about a half-hour?” Lucky said

“Sure see you then.” Emily said as she hung up the phone.

*In Kelly’s*

“Hey Liz how are you?” Emily asked.

“I’m great. How was your date, last night?” Liz asked with a smile.

“Great thanks for the song.” Emily replied.

“Which by the way you messed up, I specifically remember asking you to call in ‘All My Life’.” Lucky said.

“I know, I know I’m sorry but I liked ‘Something to talk about’ better. So what can I get you two?” Liz said.

“I’ll have a cheeseburger and fries and a large Coke.” Lucky said.

“A chef salad and a large water, please.” Emily said.

“Coming right up.” Liz said.

As Liz walked away from the table Emily heard ‘I don’t wanna miss a thing’ she smiled as she remembered the night before. Lucky didn’t notice the song playing he was talking to Ruby about Lulu.

Liz brought there food over to there table and said, “Can I get you anything else.”

“No thanks.” Lucky replied as Emily shook her head.

Emily picked at her salad and ate some half of it.

“Lucky, I’ll be right back.” Emily said as she got up and headed toward the back to were the bathrooms are.

She went inside and looked around to make sure nobody was there and she ducked into a stall and shoved her fingers down her throat just as Liz, opened the door to the bathroom, Emily threw-up her salad. She went to wash her hands and she didn’t even notice that Liz was standing in the doorway until she said, “Emily what do you think your doing?”
