Chapter 4:
Emily climbed down the tree and started walking toward a supermarket that is open 24 hour. In the store she grabbed, a box of diet pills, some Slimfast Jump Start, a bag of plain rice cakes, and a couple bottles of water.
As she went to pay the guy at the till gave her a strange look and said, “Why, do you need all of this? You look fine to me.”
“I think you should mind your own business and do what your suppose to do.” she snapped.
“Fine that will be $33.63.” he said.
“Here.” she handed him forty dollars.
She ran most of the way home, because it was late and all of the drunks were out by now. As she was climbing up the tree her footing slipped, she regained her balance and started climbing up the tree.
Inside her room she took her hollow book off of the shelf and placed the diet pills inside. She read the back of the Slimfast book and went downstairs in the kitchen and grabbed the older blender, “No one will miss it. There’s two other others.” She thinks. Back in her room she put the blender and Slimfast in the back of her walk-in closet under a pile of shoes. She took the rice cakes and bottled water and put them under the bed.
Early the next morning
Emily wakes up and looks at her alarm clock, “6:52, I better move it, before they all wake up.”
She ran downstairs and grabbed a croissant and a banana off the tray. She took the peel off the banana and put it in the garbage can. She took the banana and croissant to the bathroom and broke them into small pieces and threw them in the toilet and flushed it.
Thinking, “There I saved it a trip.”
She got the stuff she needed to make her Jump-Start and ran upstairs and made, it, after she drank it she took the blender into her bathroom and washed it out and then put it back in her closet. She took her hollow book of her shelf and took some of the pills. Thinking, “There I’m set.”
Emily moved her bean bags and got out an exercise video and started doing the exercises.
That Afternoon
Emily and Lucky were at the movies
“Are you sure you want to see, ‘Can’t Hardly Wait’?” Lucky asked.
“Yeah,” Emily replied.
“Do you want your usual medium popcorn with butter, a large coke and M&M’s?” Lucky asked.
“Um, no thats ok I had a big lunch.” Emily said.
“Ok, I’m going to get something.” Lucky said.
After the movie Emily and Lucky are walking threw the park talking.
“Um, Emily do you want to go on a date tonight?” Lucky asked.
