| Chapter 4 Setting: Somewhere unknown.... Lucky and Robin have been walking for about two hours now. They have no idea where they are. Robin thinks that they are still in the United States but there are no definite clues yet. The only things that they have seen since they left Faison's compound are tons of sand and the ocean. Right now Robin and Lucky are just searching for some sign of life. Robin: (Pointing to what looks like a main road and a billboard) I think there is a sign up there but I can't read it from here. Lucky: (Looks ahead to where she is pointing) I can't make it out either. Lets go check it out. Lucky and Robin run up ahead to where they can make the sign out, hoping that it is a clue to where they are. Robin:(Reading it aloud.) ''North Carolina's Outer Banks.'' We are this close to Port Charles? We are only like 15 hours away by car! Lucky:(In disbelief) I can't believe it. Robin: Isn't this where your Mom, Sister, and Grandmother stayed after they left Switzerland? Lucky: Yeah this is it. Well I think another part but yeah. I can't believe I didn't recognize the area. It makes sense though. This place is pretty much isolated in the winter, fall and spring. In the summer the tourist swarm the place but if Faison built his place far enough away from mainland nobody would bother him. Robin: Well how are we going to get back to Port Charles? (She pulls a watch out of her front jean pocket.) It is about 11:30 now. Faison should be back to the compound by 6:00. We need get to PC and fast! Lucky:(Curiously) Where did you get a watch? Robin: Oh I had it on me when I was abducted from my dorm in Paris. Lucky:(Nods his head) Well we need to find some transportation. We got seven hours. Robin: A plane ride to PC would only be like 3 hours if that. Lucky: Thats all well and good Sweetheart but do you see an airport around here? Robin:(Like its no big deal) We just need to get a ride into one of the bigger cities such as Raliegh or Charlotte then from there we can fly into Port Chuck. Lucky: You the money right? Robin:(Pats her sweatshirt) Yup. As Robin and Lucky were talking a run down blue pick-up truck pulls up next to them. A man in his late fifties rolls down his window. Man:(In a southern accent)You kids need a ride or something? Robin looks at Lucky her eyes asking him if they should trust this guy. Lucky:(Going into action) Yes you see my wife and I were out walking along the water and seem to have lost our way back. We would really appreciate a ride into town, wouldn't we honey? (He says the last line putting his arm around her waist.) Robin:(She looks at Lucky and decides to play along) Yeah that would be really great! Man:(Opening his side door) I'm headed into town anyway. Hop in. After riding for about five minutes in silence the man decides to break the ice. Man: By the way my name is Bob Baker. Robin: Oh how rude of us my name is Brenda Stone and this is my husband Spencer. Man: You guys travel out here often? Lucky: Not us its our first time here. But my parents do. In fact we drove down here with them and they just left a couple of days ago. We were enjoying it so much we decided to stay a few more days. Unfortunately we are leaving as soon as we get into town. Do you know of anyway we could get to the Raleigh airport? We don't have a car. Man: My son Billy can bring you over. Its about an hour from town. Robin: Really that would be so great. We don't want to put you out. We can pay you if you like. Man: That is not necessary. It really isn't a problem plus I like you guys. About an hour and half later Robin and Lucky run into the Raleigh Airport. They head straight to the ticket counter. Lucky: (To the lady behind the counter.) Hi do you have any flights heading to Port Charles, NY tonight? Ticket Lady: (Typing into her computer.) We have a flight that leaves in two hours. Would you like two tickets? Robin and Lucky look at each other. Robin nods her head in approval. Lucky: Yeah we'll take two tickets. Robin and Lucky pay the lady and collect their tickets. Then they walk over to the airport cafe. Robin plops down into a seat and Lucky soon follows. Robin:(Counting their money) Well we still have one hundred dollars left, do you want to get something to eat? Lucky:(As if on cue his stomach growls) Yeah sounds good to me. A little while Robin and Lucky are sitting there eating sandwiches and chips. Robin decides it is time to bring up the subject. Robin:(Hesitantly) Lucky you know that almost kiss? Lucky:(Interrupts) It shouldn't have almost happened, I'm sorry. Robin:(Trying to hide her hurt) No I'm sorry. (to herself) Why am I so hurt? I was going to tell him the same thing! Ugh why do things have to be so difficult and confusing? Lucky:(To himself) Why did I just say that? I wanted to kiss her! Heck I wanted to do so much more. Stop thinking that way Lucky you have to get to Liz. (Lucky looks up at Robin she just smiled slightly) She looks sort of hurt! Why? (Normally nobody would be able to read Robin's emotions like that but Lucky could now read her like a book since being held captive with her for 3 years.) Did she want to kiss me too? No this is Robin we are talking about she doesn't love you she loves Jason. Robin:(Trying to get passes it) Well with that out of the way what are we going to do when we get back to Port Chuckles? Lucky:(Seriously) I don't know, I haven't thought that far ahead. Robin: Well Faison will be pissed when he finds out that we escaped. Lucky:(Laughs) Yeah I hate to be Francis right now. Robin: I don't think that Faison is working by himself. From the things he says and from the whispers among the guards they make it sound like he has a partner. Lucky: Well my first guess as his partner would be Helena Cassadine but then again my father is Luke Spencer. Robin:(Snaps her fingers) That's it! Lucky:(Confused) What...Helena? Robin: Why else would Faison kidnap you? I mean I know he took me because I am Anna Devane's daughter. But you? Lucky: Well he could have taken me just cause he is a sick bastard. Robin: No it makes sense. Helena would have you kidnapped to spite Luke Spencer. Also it would be good to have someone in this plan of his that we don't know about. I wouldn't rule out Helena. Lucky: I am not ruling her out I just think that we should get some proof. Robin: Okay changing the subject a little....Where are we going to go when we get to Port Charles? Lucky: Well I think the more people that know we are alive the better. It will be harder for Faison to just walk around Port Charles when they know who he is. Robin: Okay get ourselves known. Got it! Lucky: Come on we got a flight to catch. Standing outside the metal detector area. Robin:(Whispering to Lucky) What are we going to do without guns? Lucky: Here come over to the side. (He said as he pulled Robin to the side of the metal detectors.) Now when I tell you to I want you to pretend to pass out. Robin:(In shock) What are you nuts? Lucky:(Laughing) No just smart! Take off yout sweatshirt and wrap it around your waist so the gun is hidden. Robin does as he says. Lucky: When I tell you to I want you to passout and then fall backwards. (Robin gives Lucky a dubious look.) Don't look at me like that. You have nothing to worry about I am going to catch you. Robin:(Rolling her eyes) That makes me feel so much better. Lucky: Don't worry I am there for you Babe! Okay lets get this show on the road our flight leaves in twenty minutes. Robin:(Fixes her sweatshirt one last time.) Okay I'm ready. Lucky: Okay passout. (Robin falls to the side and Lucky almost misses her. Franticly calling out.) Help me...Oh God my wife passed out...Oh God... Robin to herself there he goes with that wife thing again. An airport guard goes rushing over to Lucky. AG:(Bending down) What's wrong, what happened? Lucky:(With fake tears in his eyes.) We were going to check in to our flight when my wife said she felt faint so we stepped over to the side. Then she passed out. (To Robin) Come on Brenda honey wake up!! Robin laughs to herself, he sure was good at this. She made a mental note to ask him exactly what he went through when he was younger. AG:(Yelling out) Somebody get us some water! (To Lucky) Here let's move her over to those chairs over there. (Nodding over to the chairs in front of their gate.) Lucky:(Picks up Robin) She'll be okay right? They walk over to the chairs and Lucky sits down craddling Robin in his arms. AG: She probably is just fine. (Taking her pulse) Her pulse seems quite normal. She is probably just dehydrated. Lady: Here is some water and some paper towel. (She hands it over to Lucky.) Lucky:(Takes it from the woman.) Thank you so much. (He pours the water on to the towel then he rubs it over Robin's forehead then her cheeks he slowly makes his way down her neck then finally he can't help himself he rubs it across her breast. Robin finds herself enjoying this, then realizing what is going on she quickly ''awakes''.) Robin:(Groggily) What happened? Lucky:(Hugging her tightly) Oh thank GOd! AG: You passed out. My guess is that you are dehydrated. You need your fluids. As soon as you get on your flight be sure to ask the stewardess for some water. Lucky: I will thank you so much for all your help. AG: No problem. (Gets up) Now have a safe trip. Robin:(She is quietly clinging to Lucky) Thank you. The guard nods his head then walks away. Robin sits there with Lucky holding her for a minute or two longer then she jumps up realizing how they were sitting. Robin:(Uncomfortably) Well your plan worked genius! Lucky:(Smiling) You doubted me Miss Scorpio? Should I be offended? Robin:(Laughing) You know your piece of work don't you? Lucky: Thanks Babe I will take that as a compliment. Robin just stands there smiling and shaking her head. She was falling in love with a junior Luke Spencer. It is now 4:30 their plane should be landing in Port Charles in an hour. Then they would be home. Well whatever home is. Robin had fallen a sleep and her head was resting on Lucky's shoulder. He had his arms wrapped around her protectively. Seated across from them was an elderly couple. Lucky couldn't help but notice them staring at him and Robin smiling. The elderly man catches on that Lucky sees him and his wife staring at Robin and him. OldMan:(To Lucky) I'm sorry if we are being rude its just that your wife and you remind me so much of me and my Isabella here. OldWoman: Oh yeah Harry would always hold me while I slept like that and look at me with that look of love. OldMan:(Smiling down at his wife) Still do. (He then leans in and kisses his wife.) Treasure that always. (Then him and his wife cuddle close together and close their eyes with their arms wrapped around each other.) Lucky smiled then looked down at Robin. Did he love her? These people said that they could see it and they obviously know what love is. Sure he cared for her and couldn't imagine his life without her. But she has been his only constant in the pain and torture that the last past three years have held. He was supposed to love Liz. Wasn't he? Port Charles: Luke's Club-Practically everyone in PC was gathered at Luke's for the 'Welcoming Back of Eddie Maine'' It was to be the social event of the Spring. Shortly after Aj became the CEO of ELQ Ned became fed up with his family and went to NY begging for Lois's forgiveness. A couple of months ago they eloped and Nedly returned to his old job as Eddie Maine. In the Audience: Table 1- Sat Mac and Felicia. Maxi was home baby-sitting a wild George and her little 2 year old brother Robert. Also at their table was Taggert and Dare. They married after Justus left town for good. Since then Taggert has cooled down considerably. Table 2- Sat Lois dead center so she could stare at her Nedly. There too was Emily and her boyfriend Sly Eckert, also Nicholas and soon to be Mrs. Cassadine Elizabeth. Table 3- Sat Bobbie and Jerry who still had an undefined relationship. With them was a furious Carly. She dragged Jason to the show with her but as soon as she got there he ran to the backroom with Sonny. Table 4- Sat Simon and V who decided to build a home in Port Charles. With them sat Jax and Chloe Jacks soon to be celebrating their 2nd year wedding anniversary. Table 5- Sat The Quartermaines with the cute couple Leticia and Reggie. Bar- Luke and Laura, the now couple Tammy and Mike, plus Hannah and Alexis. Lois: Whoa go Nedly. Luke: Yeah Nedly are we going to get this show on the road? Ned shoots Luke a glare but Luke just laughs it off. Ned: Thanks everybody for being here tonight. It means a lot to me that you all support my career as Eddie Maine. Edward:(In a huff) Look at those leather pants. What a disgrace to the family. Lila: Oh hush up Edward I think that he looks cute. Ned: Okay for my first number I will be performing ''Just a Little Bit of Love''. Note- This song is originally sung by Celine Dion but I just really liked the lyrics. In this story it is slower and a softer tune. Just a little bit of love I was alone, I was afraid I couldn't face another day of pain in my life oh oh oh I called your name and you were there Just like an answer to a prayer You made it all right, oh yeah (Mac smiles at Felicia and she gently takes his hand and kisses it. Luke looks over at Laura from behind the bar and mouths I love you she mouths it back in return. Elizabeth and Nicholas lean in towards each other and kiss. Emily leans back against Sly as he wraps his arms around her.) Jason steps out of the back room with a faraway look in his eyes. Carly looks over at Jason with a wanting look in her eyes Jason sees this then goes back in to the backroom.) Just a little bit of love is gonna turn it around A little bit of love's gone turn it Around and around and around oh yeah The Airport Lucky:(Gently shaking Robin) Robin we're here! Robin:(Still sleepy) Where are we? Lucky:(Laughing Slightly) We are in Port Chuckles Robin:(Tiredly) Port where? Lucky: Port Charles! Robin:(Shoots up like a rocket) Already oh my GOd...Oh God... Lucky: Stay calm Robin now is not the time to panic. Robin: How can you say that? Lucky: Cause the battle hasn't even begun yet. Come on we have some long forgotten places to visit. The Compound- Faison:(Walks in to Robin and Lucky's cell) I'm home! Francis:(Stuttering) They uh yeah they escaped! Faison:(Laughing his evil laugh) Finally they show a little of their parentage. But did they honestly think that they could escape me? Francis:(Scared) What do you want me to do? Faison: For now get out of my sight! (Francis decide to go say a prayer before he dies.) Faison:(Into a cell phone) They're gone! Looks like we'll have to go with Plan B. Yes I got the new piece from the Ice Princess. I call you when I get there. I probably won't leave until morning. They can't accomplish much over night. (Snaps his phone shut) Port Charles watch out for Cesar Faison! Port Charles- Robin and Lucky are walking along the docks remembering the old times they had there. Things had changed since they had been then there last. Not only had they changed but other things too such as the dock renovations were now done. There wasn't really anyone out that night. Robin: This town is dead tonight. Are you sure that we are in Port Charles? Lucky: Yup, I wonder where everyone is? Robin:(Her eye catches a flyer hanging on a street lamp. She reads aloud) Eddie Maine is Back! Tonight at Luke's 6-10 stay around for the after party. Drinks half off from 5-6! Robin and Lucky:(In unison) Luke's! Robin and Lucky are standing outside of Luke's. Robin: Are we just going to walk in? Lucky: Leave it to me Babe just stay with me. (He grabs her hand and leads her into Luke's) While they were outside.... Ned: We are going to take a short break, but don't worry we will keep the music going. So everyone relax and have a good time. (Ned steps down and turns on the Jukebox. Everyone is laughing and dancing.) No one heard Lucky and Robin walk into the club and jump up on to the stage no one heard them until... Lucky;(Into the microphone, still holding Robin's hand) Hey Port Charles We're back!!!! |
