Chapter 5:

"Well what do we have here."
"I was just passing through in when I saw Sly walking this way so I just stopped to say hi. I haven't seen him in years." Lucky says quickly hoping that Moreno will buy it. The last thing he needed was to get into a situation with the mob.
"You're lying. Now tell me who you are."
Lucky doesn't say anything. "I think you need a little persuasion." Moreno looks nods to one of his men. Moreno's goon hits him in the ribs with a something resembling a police stick. Lucky doubles over in pain. "My name is Lucky." "Lucky? I don't think the name fits you right now. What is your last name?"
"Spencer."
"Luke Spencer's son….interesting. Now Lucky Spencer why don't you tell me what you saw tonight."
"Nothing I was just passing through when I spotted Sly."
"I think your lying. You just need some more convincing to tell me." Again he nods to his man. This time Lucky doubles over onto his knees. Sly just looks over with a sick feeling in his stomach as he looks at his one time best friend.
"I saw you give………. Sly a message then I watched ………as Sly walked away and I hid here waiting for him……. to come. That's all." Lucky is now having trouble breathing. Moreno nods over to his man again and Lucky is hit in the head with a stick. "Good take him to the warehouse. He may come in handy later."
Moreno turns to Sly. "How do you know him?"
"He was once my best friend."
"And now?"
"He's nothing to me." Sly lied. "His father is responsible for the death of my father. I really don't care what happens to Lucky."

Sly shakes his head and breaks out of he reverie and looks over at his sleeping cousin trying to figure out how to get them out of here. Moreno bought the fact that he hated everything named Spencer. So they let Sly watch Lucky. He wondered how long Moreno was going to buy it though. Sly also didn't want to find out what they were going to do to Lucky next.

Liz Webber is lying on her bed thinking about Lucky. It was still strange to be in her room with out him. Even though he's been gone for three days. She still remembers the first time they had met. She had managed to insult two of his family members.

E:That's too bad. What's your name?
L:Lucky.
E:We'll see.

She smiles as she thinks about that day in front of Kelly's. She still thinks that she was the 'Lucky' one. She wishes that she could see him again.

Chapter 6:

The next afternoon Nikolas Cassadine walks up to the front steps of the Hardy house not completely sure why he wants to see Liz again. He felt that he could talk to her. He hasn't been able to talk to Stefan about the loss he feels at Lucky's death. Stefan wouldn't understand, but then again he didn't understand himself. Since he arrived in Port Charles he hasn't made that many friends besides Emily, Robin, and Sarah. He really hoped that Sarah wasn't home. After their break up Sarah became annoying and unbearable to be around. He knocked on the door and prayed that Liz was there.

"Nikolas! What are you doing here?"
"Hi Sarah……I was looking for Elizabeth. Is she here?"
"No she went to work earlier."
"Oh ok. Will you tell her I ….."
"Nikolas! Hi how are you?" Elizabeth appeared from behind the door.
"I was wondering if you would like to go for a walk?"
"Sure. That would be nice. Sarah would you care to join us?"
"No thanks." Sarah walked away with a dejected look on her face. First Lucky and now Nikolas when did Elizabeth get so popular Sarah wondered to herself.
Nikolas and Liz walk in silence neither knowing what to say. Liz wishes he would just say something. She was very surprised when he showed up at her door. Liz couldn't stand the silence anymore. "I was surprised to see you today."
"Yeah well if anyone had asked me a month ago if I would be stopping by to see you I would have said they were crazy."
"So why did you come."
"I didn't know who else to talk too. I can't talk to Stefan about Lucky's death, because he would just think that I was crazy for even thinking about him. The thing is I don't know if I would disagree with him."
"Nikolas you can't help what you feel. He was your brother even if you guys couldn't stand being in the same room with each other for very long."
"I know but it's so weird. If he was alive I wouldn't be giving him as second thought."
"He was your brother. You both are Lesley Lu's brother."
"That's who I really feel for. Lesley Lu will grow up without even knowing who he was."
Nikolas and Elizabeth fall into a comfortable silence.

Chapter 7:

In the warehouse

"Sly"
"Yeah?"
"I think I have a way of getting us out of this mess."
"Really? I would love to know what your brilliant plan is."
"I've noticed that you pretty much are allowed to come and go as you please. Moreno trusts you enough to leave you alone with me."
"So what? If you are gone than they will know that I helped you."
"So listen hears the plan." Lucky tells him the plan to a doubtful Sly.
"Do you think there is a chance that this will work?"
"It better. Or you won't be the only one bound and gagged."

Midnight that night Elizabeth is staring up at the ceiling trying desperately to go to sleep when suddenly there is a knock at the window. For a minute she thinks that it could be Lucky, but then she remembers. She runs out of bed and grabs her softball bat out of the closet. With bat in hand she unlocks the window and jumps back. Sly slowly climbs into her room with his hands up. "I won't hurt you. I came here to talk to you about Lucky."

"He's dead. Who are you?"
"Sly Eckert his cousin, and he's not dead.'
"He's dead and he's not coming back!"
"Look I know it's hard to believe, but he's alive."
"You're lying." Elizabeth wants to believe him, but it's impossible isn't it?
"Get out of here."
"Look did he ever mention me. We were best friends before we moved."
"He mentioned a Sly, but people just don't come back from the dead."
"Look he told me to ask you if his bed was still available?"
"Only a few people knew that he was living here. How did you know?"
"He told me. He said to give you this." Sly took something out of his wallet and handed it to her.
"It's his picture of Lulu. How did you get this." Looking at the picture Liz finds it even harder not to believe Sly. She knew that he never went anywhere with out her picture.
"He gave me it to convince you that he's still alive."
"If he's alive then why would he let everyone think he was dead."
"It wasn't his choice. He was kidnapped by Moreno."
"Why?"
"That's my fault. Lucky found out that I was working for Moreno."
"So why are you here?"
"We need your help to get him out of there."

Chapter 8:

Ever since her conversation with Sly, Liz has needed to tell someone that Lucky was alive. She knew that if she tried to tell someone that they wouldn't believe her. The plan that Lucky and Sly had concocted was ok, but if they weren't going to let her do more than drive the car than she decided that they needed more help. That's why she was doing something she never would have thought she would do. Going to Wyndemere to see Nikolas. Elizabeth followed the path up to the house until she saw Nikolas practicing his Tai Chi.
"Nikolas." Nikolas looked up startled he wasn't expecting to see Elizabeth.
"Hi Elizabeth. What are you doing here?"
"I needed to talk to you."
"I am listening."
"Did you mean it when you said you wanted to get to know Lucky?"
"Yeah, but it's a little late. It's kind of hard to get to someone after their dead."
"He's not dead."
"Elizabeth, I know it's been hard on you, but he's dead."
"Nikolas, I know it's crazy, but it's alive. Yesterday his cousin, Sly came to see me and told me that Moreno has him."
"Moreno? Why would he want Lucky?"
"I don't know exactly, but I think it has something to do with the fact that Sly was working for him." "Are you sure Sly isn't just pulling some sick joke on you."
"I am sure, he came to see me about getting Lucky out Moreno's clutches. And he gave me this."
"It's a picture of Lesley Lu."
"I know. Lucky never goes anywhere with out it."
"Why are you telling me this."
"You said you regretted not getting to know him, and I think that they could use your help."
"What's the plan?"
Elizabeth tells Nikolas the plan.
"Well? Are you in?"
"Yes, I am in."
"Good be ready for when I call you. Don't tell anyone though. If this gets back to anyone they could be in more danger."
"I won't tell."

"Well." Lucky asks as Sly walks in.
"She's in."
"I hope we're not making a mistake."
