Chapter 2

Lucky just arrived home into his cheap apartment after his discussion with Nikolas. For four years ago he had left his family, to find some kind of peace. The hate had been eating him up inside. He couldn't deal with it anymore. So he left. He made sure he stayed in contact with Lulu. Before he left he taught her how to use email, and once a week he had written her. She always wrote back. It was the only real happy moments of his week. He didn't hate his parents anymore, but he didn't know how to just go home, and forget everything. Seeing Nikolas brought all the problems back to the present. He had no idea that Lulu still believed that he would be coming home soon. Lucky tried not to lead her on about that. That was part of the reason why he was so good about emailing her every Friday.

He walked over to the computer and turned it on. When he sat down he looked at the screen for a moment and then moved his mouse and clicked the button. He typed something and then he heard the a computerized voice say, "You have New Mail." Lucky moved the mouse around on the pad and then clicked again. His eyes moved looking at the words on the screen. He could here the voice of his sister in his head, at least the way he remembered her.

"Dear Lucky,

Nikolas left earlier today for a business trip to California. Tomorrow his wife Lark will be joining him. Mom and Dad are okay. They miss you. Everyone misses you. Including me Lucky. Are you ever going to come back to Port Charles?

Lulu"

Lucky looked at the screen. His head pounding in with a throbbing pain. He pushed the laptop out of the way and put his head into his hands. When that didn't seem to help he got up and walked dizzily to the bathroom for some aspirin. There were black spots in front of his eyes like he was about to pass out. He closed his eyes and blindly felt for the aspirin. He popped two in his mouth. All the while cursing Nikolas. It's all his fault. If he hadn't shown up today, I would be fine. It's the added stress. He tried to convince himself of this fact as he walked back to his computer.

Hey Little Sis,

I miss you. But I don't know when or if I will come home. So Nikolas got married. That's cool. So how is everything going with you? You talked about everything but yourself. Things are good here. I have a job and a roof over my head. Take care of yourself, I miss you.

Love,

Lucky

Lulu walked into the living room of the Spencer house. "Mom? Dad? Grandmother?" She called. No one answered. 'Perfect timing then.' she thought to herself as she went over to the computer that was tucked away in a corner of the room. Her father only used it once in a while and her mother never. She started the computer and signed online. She heard the chime telling her she had a new e-mail. She read it going over the words again and again. She could hear her older brother Lucky saying them. She had been seven when he left and now she was eleven and she missed him so much. Nikolas was a GREAT brother, no doubt about it and Lark was a cool sister-in-law, but no one compared to Lucky. She sighed deeply as she closed the e-mail and turned off the computer.
