Chapter 6:

Two weeks later in Greece

It's been a week since Lucky and Helena had gone to Greece. Lucky had still not woken up. Dr. Jones had given Lucky an ok to fly, and the doctors that Helena had said that it is just a matter of time before Lucky wakes up. Helena was watching over Lucky waiting for him to wake up. She wanted to gain his trust, but knew that would be near to impossible with out help. Out of the corner of her eye she noticed some movement from the bed. Lucky had made a fist with his hand.
"Lucas?"
"Huh…."
"Lucas wake up."
Lucky opened his eyes and saw an elderly woman watching over him. "Who are you?" He doesn't remember me. Interesting… She doesn't answer right away.
"Where am I? Who am I?" He doesn't remember anything, very good she said smiling.
"Relax Lucas. It's ok. I am Helena Cassadine, and I am your grandmother. You are Lucas Cassadine." Lucky accepted this. He had no reason not to. He doesn't remember anything. Helena uses that fact to her advantage. The doctors had told her that there would be a chance that he may lose his memory temporarily. They suggested that the more contact he has with people and things that were once familiar to him he would gain his memory back quicker. Therefore, Helena decided to change history on Lucky in hopes that he would believe her and not gain his memory. Things could not have worked out better for her.
"I can't feel my legs. What happened to me?" Lucky said in a panicked voice.
"Shh. Lucas it's ok. You were riding your horse and tried to jump the fence when the horse balked and you hit the fence and then bounced back. Your leg is broken. And the extra pressure on your back is making you paralyzed, temporarily. The doctors assured me that you will be able to walk again."
"Where are my parents?" Lucky thought that they would be here even though he couldn't put a face or name to them, but nothing is familiar to him so he could be mistaken about that too.
"They are not here Lucas, I am sorry."
"Where are they?"
Time for more lies Helena thought. "Your father Stefan Cassadine is in Port Charles, NY with your half-brother, his nephew, Nikolas Cassadine. Nikolas is the son of my eldest child Staveros and thus is the heir to the Cassadine title and fortune. He decided to take Nikolas to meet your mother and leave you here. Stefan has rarely given you a second thought. He was responsible for Nikolas since his father died. Stefan is a very greedy man who only cares about controlling the heir. Which Nikolas is."
"And my mother."
"She left you on the island when you were a year old to live with her husband Luke. She is now living in Port Charles also with her husband. She has forgotten all about you also. She has her precious Nikolas, and to her you were just second best. She also had a daughter with her husband. You've been living her on this Greek isle with me since."
Lucky turned his head to the side and stared at the wall. Helena got up and walked to the door.
"Lucas your parents know what happened to you, but they decided not to come. I am going to tell the doctors that you are awake."
When Helena had closed the door Lucky allowed the tears to fall. 'What was so wrong with me that my parents decided that I wasn't fit to lick Nikolas's shoes?'

Chapter 7:

It has been 2 years since Lucky Spencer had 'died'. Life in Port Charles went on as life has a way of doing. Elizabeth Webber never really got over Lucky. She has gotten past her rape, and she does go out with guys, but no one has captured her heart. Elizabeth has become really good friends with Nikolas and Emily. Nikolas and Emily have been dating for over a year, and are very happy together.
Stefan and Bobbie have been married for over a year. Bobbie saw a new side to Stefan after Lucky's death. Despite the fact that they both tried to avoid the fact that they were meant to be the finally gave in. Bobbie, however, is unaware that Lucky was Stefan's son. Luke never got over Lucky's death, and vowed revenge on Helena. He never believed that Stefan had done it. Stefan was not stupid enough to kill Lucky, especially not at Wyndemere. That did not mean that he was happy about Bobbie marrying Stefan. Laura never told Luke that Stefan was Lucky's biological father.
During the two years that Lucky has lived with Helena, Lucky has yet to regain his memory. Helena continues to feed him lies about his life. He believes that he is Stefan son, which he is, but Helena thinks Luke is. Lucky for the most part trusts Helena. She was there when his parents were not. When he struggled to get the use of his legs back. When he was close to giving up she encouraged him. Lucky however could not stop the curiosity he had about his family in Port Charles.

Lucky was dreaming. He has been having the same dream for over a week. Images and faces keep flashing in his mind. Images of a girl about 2 in a hospital bed, a 15 year old girl laughing, and a dog barking, all of them familiar to Lucky, but he didn't' know why. If he had never been off the island why does he have memories of people he had never met? He knew one thing though the answers to his question were to be found in Port Charles.

Lucky walked into Helena's study nervously. He didn't know how he would react to what he was about to ask her.
"Grandmother?"
"Yes, Lucas."
"I want to go to Port Charles."

Chapter 8:

"I want to go to Port Charles." Lucky repeated as he looked at Helena.
"Why on earth would you want to do that?"
"I want to know my family, and I want to know why I was never good enough for them."
"Lucas, you have everything you could possibly want here."
"Everything but a life. I am sick of this island I need more in my life. I am 18 and as far as I can remember I have never been off this island."
"So this is how you repay me. I have loved and taken care of you-your whole life, and now you want to leave?" Helena was impressed with how she could always lie to Lucky without missing a beat. Truth was she was beginning to think of him as her grandson.
"Grandmother for the two years that I can remember you have been the only family I have had. You helped me when my mother and father turned their backs on me. But I need to face them."
"Alright Lucas we will go to Port Charles." Well it will be interesting Helena thought to herself.

Elizabeth Webber was standing at the docks looking at Wyndemere. She could not look at that place with out thinking about Lucky. She would think about their dance before hand and how sweet and understanding he was, and she would smile. But then she would think about him dying, and she could still visualize him falling.
"Elizabeth?"
Liz was startled out of her memories.
"Hi Nikolas."
"What are you doing out at this time of night."
"Just thinking. Some nights I just can't fall to sleep, and I start walking and I end up here."
"Elizabeth I know you miss him, but it's been two years it's time to let him go."
"Nikolas, I know, but I can't. He's still with me in my heart, and I can't let him go. I keep thinking that our story isn't over yet."
"Elizabeth I am sorry, but he's not coming back."
"Nikolas I know, I just miss him."

Chapter 9:

One week later, the two year anniversary of Lucky's death...

Lucky and Helena have arrived in Port Charles two days ago. Lucky could not believe the change that has come over Helena. He has been treated as a prisoner since the have arrived in Port Charles. Despite his protests Helena would not let him leave the yacht. Helena had told him that she wanted to make a surprise appearance to his family, and introduce him. Lucky was anxious to meet his family. He didn't even know what they looked like. Although, his dreams have become more vivid he still couldn't place names with the faces. Right now Helena was off doing what ever. She wouldn't tell him. So Lucky was waiting patiently for her return. In about 15 more minutes Lucky was going to leave on his own. Lucky was in his room when he hears a noise. He cautiously peers out and sees a man looking around. Lucky couldn't place the name, but he looked familiar. Lucky hides behind the door of his room, as the man is about to walk into it.
"Luke darling, long time no see." Helena is relieved that she stopped him from looking in. She prays that Lucky has not been seen.
"Helena where have you been these past two years. I've missed you."
"Luke I'm disappointed in you I thought you always knew where I was."
'Luke could this be my mother's husband.' Luke pulls a dagger on Helena and points it at her throat. "I know you are responsible for my son's death, and you will die, slowly and painfully. You won't know when or how, but you will die. And I will enjoy it immensely."
Helena looks at Luke with disguised shock. She had thought that Luke would have blamed Stefan.
"Come now Luke, you have been threatening that for years. I am beginning to think you don't mean it."
"Oh I mean it. Watch out." With that Luke leaves the yacht. Careful that there might be listening devices around she doesn't call out for Lucky. She goes into his room, and notices he's not there. She searches the whole yacht and no trace of Lucky. "You better be back soon, or there will be hell to pay Lucas." Helena thinks to herself.
Lucky had taken the opportunity to leave undetected. "Helena killed Luke's son. That wasn't possible she was on the island with me. Wasn't she?" Lucky thought. His doubts about what Helena had been telling him were doubling.
The more he looks around Port Charles the more that looks familiar. Lucky was walking around lost in thought. He needed answers and had no idea whom to go to for help. For the past two years all he has known is Helena. Lucky was walking and found his way somehow to the park. There he found a girl around his age crying softly. "Hello? Are you ok?"
The girl looks up startled at the familiar voice, and into "Lucky?"

Chapter 10:

Nikolas was walking to Liz's house. Thinking that she might need someone to talk to. Two years ago Lucky had died at Wyndemere. He and Stefan were aware that Helena was back in town so he was on his guard, but surprisingly Helena had not stopped by to see him. Which he was happy about, but it still surprised him. She must know that they were aware of her return.
Nikolas was cutting through the park and saw Liz and another guy at the bench in the park.
He heard her say "Lucky?" Nikolas runs up to Elizabeth.
"Elizabeth are you ok?" He asks worriedly. Elizabeth just stands there in silence. Nikolas looks at the other guy and is startled by how much he looks like Lucky.
"Lucky?" Elizabeth stares at him and immediately gives him a hug. "Lucky you are alive. Where have you been?" Elizabeth finally realizes that Lucky has not returned her hug. Lucky is completely confused by what's going on here.
They seem to know him, and Elizabeth looks familiar.
"I am sorry I don't know who your talking about. My name is Lucas Cassadine, and I have never met you before."
"Lucas Cassadine? You have to be kidding me. My name is Nikolas Cassadine, and as far as I know there isn't a Lucas Cassadine. Your name is Lucky Spencer." Lucky looked at Nikolas in shock.
"Nikolas Cassadine? My brother, Helena told me that you were living with my father Stefan and that our mother Laura was married to Luke."
"Nikolas, he has to be Lucky, but he doesn't seem to remember us, and Stefan Cassadine is not his father." Elizabeth whispered to Nikolas.
"Lucky listen to me. Stefan is not your father Luke Spencer is." "You're lying. Why? Are you afraid that Stefan would actually want to get to know me?" Nikolas is shocked by what he is saying.
"Answer this question. Where have you been for the last two years?"
"In Greece with my Grandmother."
"Your Grandmother. Leslie?" Nikolas asks not wanting to hear the answer.
"Helena Cassadine. Look two years ago I woke up in Greece. I did not remember anything, not even my name. I was told that Laura was married to Luke Spencer that she had abandoned me shortly after my birth. And that my father left the island with my half brother, because he didn't care about me. All he cared about was the heir to the throne. You."
Nikolas was still in shock it was like their roles were reversed.
"Lucky."
"Lucas." He corrected.
"Lucas, your parents didn't abandon you. Luke is your father. Two years ago you fell from the parapet at my home in Wyndemere. Everyone thought you were dead. Helena must have kidnapped you."
"Lucas, he's not lying I was there when you fell. You were helping me forget about getting raped. So we crashed the party. We were sneaking around Wyndemere until we found the parapet. Then you leaned against it and fell."
Liz was crying silently now as she remembers that day. She is so happy that he's alive, but hate the fact that he doesn't remember her.
"Why would Helena kidnap me. When I woke up I couldn't walk. She helped me when no one else cared."
"Lucky, listen to me. She lied to you." Elizabeth silently pleads to him. He looks into her eyes and realized why she was so familiar to him.
"You are the girl from my dreams. Lately I have been having these strange dreams that are vivid. You were in every single one of them."
"Lucky that means your memory is coming back. I have an idea. Will you trust me?" Nikolas asks hopefully. After two years Nikolas has been given back what he has wanted for a while. The chance to be brothers.
Lucky is so confused. He looks into Elizabeth's eyes and knows she is telling the truth. "All right Nikolas, just make me one promise."
"Anything."
"Don't tell my parents who ever they are that I am back."
