Chapter 6

Lucky decided to take a walk after talking with Elizabeth. It made him feel
good doing somebody a favor. Suddenly he was turned around and swept into a
passionate kiss. He opened his eyes and there stood in front of him his
ex-girlfriend Tonya.

"Hey Lucky." she said. This girl was petite, blonde, and had a body to die
for.

"Tonya. What are you doing in Port Charles?"

"I'm modeling for some cosmetics company."

"Wow that's great."

"So I hear Claire's got a party coming up and I don't exactly have a date."

"Tonya we broke up two days ago."

"Maybe this will change your mind." She said sweeping him into a kiss.

Lucky felt his hormones rage. "Pick you up at 7:30."

"Not a minute later. Bye Lucky."

"Bye Tonya." Lucky said weakly. He started walking along again and then he
stops in his tracks. "Elizabeth. Uuggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh! I can't
believe I forgot." Lucky said while running his hand through his hair. He
couldn't take two dates. Or could he after all it wasn't really a date for
him and Liz.

Flash forward to the party. Liz was primping the last curl on her head as
she went to answer the door. Lucky already had Tonya at the party and he
told her he forgot something at home. Liz went down the stairs and opened
the door while Lucky turned around. He was amazed. His mouth feel on the
floor as did the roses he had for Elizabeth. Everything on her was perfect.
She laughed. Her hair was swept up in trendels around her face and her dress
fit each of her curves nicely. It was white and cascaded all the way to the
floor. The spaghetti straps accented her petitie figure.

"Are those for me?" she asked refering to the roses he was holding.

"Uh, yeah um here you go." Lucky said handing them to her. She smelled them
and grabbed a vase before taking Lucky's arm.

"This is going to be one hell of a night."

"You clean up very nice you look beautiful Elizabeth."

"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself."

"Thank. So shall we?"

Lucky lead her to his limo and they were off to the party.

They arrived at the party arm and arm.

"Lucky darling how are you?" Claire said coming up to him. "Kiss kiss
honey. Now who is this little pretty thing with you. Oh turn around honey
you look gorgoues. Almost a beautiful as me." she said.

"Thanks I think." Liz said.

"Well lovely to see you Claire but I must introduce you to Elizabeth Webber
she owns an art studio in town which I'm taking lessons at." Lucky said.

"A young thing like you with a studio already." Claire said

"Actually Nikolas Cassidine owns half of it." Liz answered.

"Little Nikky. Impressive. I know that Lucky would only take from the best
honey." Claire said.

"I was wondering if maybe you could take a look at her work sometime." Lucky
said.

"Of course just bring it to the studio darling. You'll just owe me one. As
for you Elizabeth hang on to this one he's a keeper. Call this number. Ciao
darlings." Claire said.

"Thank you so much." Liz said.

"Thank Lucky and remember what I said." Claire said walking away.

"I can't believe you just did that thank you so much." Liz said as she
kissed him on the cheek and gushed away. Lucky just stood there in the crowd
of people touching his cheek. He was sidetracked when Tonya put her arms
behnd Lucky and he lead her to the dance floor. Liz was sitting down with
Emily and Nikolas when she saw Tonya walk up to Lucky. Her rage started to
build.
"Do you see that leggy blonde over there? Could she be more obvious?" Liz
asked.

"Obvious about what?" Nikolas said.

"She's practically throwing herself on Lucky." Liz said not taking her eyes
off of them.

"Liz that's Tonya Lucky's date." Emily said sadly.

"Oh, his date." Liz said sadly.

"I meant to tell you Liz but it just never came up. Besides Lucky can see
right through that girl. He's only going out with her because she's Claire's
niece." Emily said.

"She's Claire's niece? It doesn't seem like it at all. Claire is this
wonderful peppy person but Tonya there is something not right about her."
Liz said.

"Maybe it's because Tonya is a total slut golddigger type. If Lucky wasn't
as famous as he is she wouldn't be interested. Trust me. She and I worked
together in modeling shoot and believe me she hit on Nikolas plenty of
times." Emily said.

"I went out with her once. All we did is talk about my money. She's bad
news." Nikolas said.

"Well at least you were smart enough to realize that." Liz said. "I just
hope Lucky is."

To Lucky and Tonya

"Tonya you look great tonight." Lucky said taking her in his arms.

"Thanks Lucky. Oh that's so sweet of you. Did I tell you, you look
incredibly handsome?" Tonya said batting her eyes at Lucky.

"Um thanks." Lucky said as he winced. Coming from her it just didn't feel
right. Then he spotted Liz sitting down at a table. He watched as he turned
away quickly. He laughed.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing at all."

"Look Lucky I've been noticing you've been distant lately. I mean you've
barely paid any attention to me so far."

"I'm sorry Tonya I'm just worried about my new album."

"Well you know you can stop writing and just live off your royalties."

"Music is my life."

"Wrong I am silly."

To Liz and Nik and Em.

"Elizabeth, slow down there drinking isn't going to help you in any way shape
or form." Nik said.

"Nikky you need to learn to relax." Liz said in slurred words. She lifted
her dress above her head. "Now you see me now you don't."

"Okay it's official you've had way to much to drink." Emily said. Then she
noticed an empty bottle. "Elizabeth did you drink all of this?"

"Well let's see you had and glass and so did Nikky so no I didn't drink the
whole thing." Liz said. "Oh look at that slut with Lucky. He's my date I'm
going to give him a piece of my mind." Liz stormed up out of her seat and
wobbled towards the dance floor. "You take me here as you date but you don't
even spend anytime with me?" Liz asked.

"Liz how much have you drank?" Lucky asked concerned.

"Lucky who is this?" Tonya asked.

"I'm his date you hussie!" Liz said.

"Tonya I can explain-" Lucky started.

"Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. I never want to see you again!" Tonya said while
storming off.

"See what you did why are you doing this to me Elizabeth? This was a pity
date I felt bad for you because of your finanacial problems and what do you
go do but take away my girlfriend. Emily asked me to do you a favor."

"If you were so disgusted by me you could have refused. And this is what I
think of your singing." Liz said throwing red wine all over Lucky as Liz ran
away. Nikolas went after her as Emily stormed up to Lucky.

"How could you do that Lucky?" Em said.

"Your the one that pushed and pushed Emily if it wasn't for you this wouldn't
have happened."

"You've changed. I didn't believe it but you've changed more than I could
ever help you. Lucky you just completely embarassed Elizabeth and you don't
even regret it. What happened to the Lucky I know?" Emily said as she
walked off. Everyone was watching and Lucky just stood there. He grabbed
some champagned and downed it.

"What are you looking at?" Lucky cried to everyone. "Christ!" he said and
he walked out. "Emily wait."

"Look Lucky I'm going home because Nikolas is what Lizzie needs right now."

"Do you know where so could be?"

"I'd never tell you."

"Fine I'll look all around town if I have to."

"A sudden change of heart?"

"Look I know what I did was wrong okay I just want to apoligize and get it
over with."

"Lucky if you think those people inside care whether or not your a good
person doesn't matter to them."

"You think what you want but if I can find her and I can fix this."

"I don't if you can this time."

To Liz and Nik on the docks.

"Leave me alone Nikolas."

"Elizabeth you need my help."

"For the first time in so many years I lost control. I'm becoming what I
used to be and I'm letting guys like Lucky stepping all over me."

"You aren't Elizabeth you stood up for yourself."

"Oh throwing wine was nothing, it was nothing."

"It was something. My brother was just being a jerk."

"Do I have this thing with picking the wrong guys or what?" she said.

"No you just have some bad luck so to speak. You'll find some guy one day
that will love you unconditionally."

"Could I have the pep talk tomorrow? I just want to think right now."

"You promise to go home soon and go home in a cab."

"Of course."

"Well then I will just this once. If your sure you'll be fine."

"I'll be fine I just need to think you know."

"I know the feelings. Feel better."

"I will."

Nikolas decided it would be better if he left her there so he did. She took
another swig of her drink and started to dance around the docks thinking to
herself humming a little.

"Lucky thinks I'm so in love with him but ha I'm not. Sure he's cute and has
a wonderful personality and he challenges my intellect but who cares. He
can't sing better than the Backstreet Boys. Ha! So there."

Before she knew it she fell face forward into the water and hit her head on a
rock. Liz was floating, no one had heard a scream.

Chapter 7

"Elizabeth! Elizabeth! God where can she be?" Lucky said. He walked
alonged the docks and spied her face down in the water. Without hesitation
he dove into the water and retrived her. She had a big gash on her forhead.
He checked for a pulse but couldn't find one. He started with chest
compressions and breathing into her mouth.

"Dammit Elizabeth come on I need you!" He shouted as he kept on going. He
wouldn't stop until she was breathing again. Suddenly she chocked up some
water and gasped for air. He took her head in his lap and stocked her head.
"Hey it's going to be okay. I'm here it's Lucky I'm here for you."

"Lucky?"

"Yeah I'm here for you Elizabeth."

"I can get up I don't need you help."

"Come on Elizabeth accept some help for me please."

"I can't."

"Please."

"I'm fine I can get up." Liz said trying to stand up but she immidiatly
wobbled but Lucky caught her.

"There is a nasty bump on your head we have to take care of it. I'm going to
take you to the hospital okay?"

"Just the hospital."

"Good now let's take a slow. Actually I have a better idea." Lucky said
while picking Liz up in one fowl swoop. "Makes things go a little faster."

"Lucas Lorenzo Spencer Jr. you put me down this instant."

"No can do."

"Ugggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh you are annoying as heck you know that?"

"But I'm cute too. Hey Red drive us the hospital asap. I don't care if you
have to run red lights your running them." Lucky said to his driver."

"Yes sir." he responded.

"Hey I just want them to check you out nothing serious I'm sure you don't
even have to stay overnight."

"You promise." Elizabeth said.

"Cross my heart." Lucky said pulling her in closer and resting his head on
hers.

They reach the hospital and Lucky carries Liz up to the nurses station. She
is sleeping. Bobbie rushes over.

"Lucky wha'ts wrong?" she askes.

"Liz had a close call earlier this evening. Could you take a look at her?"
Lucky asked.

"Of course go to room 101 I'll meet you there."

"Thanks Bobbie."

To the room after Bobbie has checked Liz out.

"Your going to be fine Elizabeth you just need some care for the next couple
of days. That bump you have on your head is nasty."

"She can stay with me." Lucky said.

"No I'll be fine you guys don't have to worry." Liz said.

"Elizebeth Lucky has a good idea we can't let you be on your own."

"I can do it I'll be fine I promise."

"I'm not taking no for an answer Elizabeth Webber." Lucky said.

"Listen to him Elizabeth." Bobbie said.

"Please for me." Lucky said.

"Um no offense Bobbie but could I speak to Lucky privatly."

"Sure honey well I'm done here and you." she said to Lucky, "make sure she
gets care."

Bobbie leaves.

"Elizabeth I know you mad at me and I would be furious with myself. In fact
I am but please this for your health and I promise to take care of you."

"Lucky-"

"No buts. You see I saved your life which means I have to take care of you."

"Is that so?"

"Of course."

"For 2 days tops."

"For 2 and 1/2 days minimum."

"You have yourself a deal."

"Good let me take you home right now and pick up some stuff. I have 2 extra
rooms and you have your pick."

"Okay."

Lucky extended out his hand and Liz grabbed it as they walked slowly out
leaning on each other. After they got Liz's stuff they headed over to
Lucky's. Liz had a big bandage on her head and they sat on the couch
drinking coco.

"I'm sorry for my behavior Lucky."

"Why should you be sorry it was kind of a date and then I brought another
one. It was my fault."

"If you say so." Liz said while they laughed.

"But you have to admit you were pretty jealous."

"Me jealous? I don't think so Elizabeth Webber doesn't get jealous."

"Not true I saw your face you were jealous." Lucky said.

"Was not," LIz said throwing a pillow at him.

"Oh not fair you know I won't throw things at you."

"I know."

"But it doesn't mean I can't tickle you." Lucky said tickling her. She
kept giggling and screaming until Lucky stopped. He was laying on top of
her. She just starred back smiling at him. He pushed back her hair and then
got off of her. "Um, you should get some reast."

"I don't need rest Lucky I'm fine and it's early."

"What would you like to do?"

"I don't know just talk."

"Sounds good to me."

"Um Emily said to me once that something happened to you one time which
changed you."

"She said that huh. I don't doubt it."

"So tell me what happened."

"Why don't we start with you?"

"Because you owe me."

"I saved you life."

"I'm cute."

"Oh pulling that. Okay. I never have actually told anyone this story it's a
private kind of story. No one in the public eye knows about it either."

"I'll keep it a secret I promise."

"Have you ever been in love Elizabeth?"

"No not true love but I've been in love."

"I found love. Who knows if it was true it just felt right. Her name was
Cindy. She was perfect. She was the ideal person for me."

"Was?"

"She died."

Chapter 8

"What!?! How?" Liz said.

"She was hit by a drunk driver actually. It happened at night going to one
of my concerts. It was just when I was starting out. She died instantly no
pain."

"I'm so sorry Lucky."

"It was a long time ago. It was when I was 18. She was the best." Lucky
said starting to tear up but he straightened up. "If you'll excuse me I am
tired so I'm going to go to bed."

"Lucky?" Liz said.

"Yes." he said turning back around.

"You'll find true love. Cindy is watching and I'm sure she would want you to
be happy. Your a good guy."

"That means a lot Liz. More than you'll ever know."

"Goodnight Lucky."

"Dreams of gold Elizabeth."

"If you ever need to talk to anyone about Cindy I'm your girl."

"I'll remember that." Lucky said walking out of Liz's room and into his.

Lucky spent the next five minutes tossing and turning. He kept on playing
Cindy's accident in his mind over and over. The phone ringing in the studio
telling him she was dead. Her death inspired many of Lucky's money makers.
He felt like someone was ripping his heart out inside. He felt bad using her
loss like that to make money off of songs. The worst part was not missing
her as much as he used to. Did this mean he never truely loved her? He
couldn't get it off his mind. Suddenly his door creaked open and he sat
straight up in bed.

"Elizabeth?"

"Hi Lucky I couldn't sleep I just wasn't tired and I-"

"Here come inside. Do you want to talk?"

"Sure I'd like that."

He confessed his fears of Cindy onto Liz. She listened intently nodding her
head. She made her way over to Lucky's bed and then when he got frustrated
and slammed his head onto his pillow she took his hand. It was gentle touch
that startled him. He soft warm hands gave him comfort. His big manly hands
made Elizabeth feel safe and protected.

"Lucky in life we all go through bad things but we learn to get past them.
It's not wrong to get past her death it's normal. Your not betraying her
memory your trying to make it live forever through a song. It's practically
the sweetest thing anyone has ever done."

"Why can't I cry about it anymore why do I feel whole?"

"Lucky you can feel whole. You can feel fine. Do you still miss her?"

"Always."

"Than you have her in your heart forever. Nothing will ever happen that will
change that."

"Nothing?"

"Nothing I promise."

"Well I never told anyone that before."

"It's good to let things out."

"Well I'm glad I could finally get that off my chest."

"I'm glad you trust me."

"Isn't that weird I kind of feel like I can trust you more than Em and
Nikolas."

"You do?"

"Yeah I just can't describe it. I guess after I heriocly saved your life I
felt obligated to tell you about me."

"There you go again being all egotistogal."

"I know but it boost my self esteem. Try it."

"No thank you. I'm over my egotistogal phase."

"So any dirt from your past."

"Nothing interesting."

"Come on you must have some interesting past."

"There was this one guy."

"Tell me about him."

"He had brown hair and blue eyes. My favortie combination. His name was
Todd. He was the pretty boy reckless motercycle rider type of guy."

"Aghhhh I know them too well."

"Yeah well I guess I didn't know him well enough. I thought I was in love
with him and he loved me back but one day coming home I found him in bed with
another girl."

"Ouch! I'm sorry Elizabeth I didn't know."

"Hey it's no big deal. Someone broke my heart. It's a classic trend now a
days."

"Elizabeth you need self esteem boosters and I need debooters."

"Combined we're perfect." Lucky said turning his head to face her.

"Yeah perfect." she said biting her lip starring into Lucky's eyes. He
turned his head away from her.

"So um are you cold?" Lucky said.

"No I'm perfect." she said.

"You got that right." Lucky muttered.

"What did you say?"

"Nothing. Here at least get under the covers."

"Mr. Spencer not on the first sleepover." Liz said jokingly.

"I don't want you freezing to death. Come on you've seen me half naked and
I've saved your life."

"Only because I'm freezing." Liz climbed under the covers with Lucky. They
both sat up.

"Let me see those hands." he said grabbing them. They were freezing. "Your
hands are freezing." He rubbed them and blew on them. Then he looked up and
she was starring at him. He smiled. "It's the sensitive part of me."

"You can rub me anyday. My hands I mean. "

"I know what you mean."

"Thank though I was cold."

"Your welcome."

"Tell me more about Cindy. I want to get to know her."

"She had this smile. It would light up the entire room In fact, it would
light up the entire sky. My knees went to jello whenever I kissed her."

"Hey your song Light Up the Sky. Was that about her?"

"I guess you know more about me than I thought. All my songs are about her.
Lately the picture of her in my mind has been fading. I just can't see her
anymore. It kind of scares me."

"Why?"

"Doesn't this mean I'm being untrue to her? I've never carried on a good
relationship after her death."

"I think it means that your moving on with your life but you'll love that
person forever."

"Moving on. I never thought I could do that."

"Lucky I'm getting a little tired so don't get offended if I drift off."

"You need your sleep."

"Goodnight."

"Dreams of Gold." Lucky said as Liz closed her eyes. He removed hair from
her face and drifted off to sleep.

Liz began to dream. She was in a long flowwy satin dress. She was walking
through puffy clouds until she reached a waterfall.

"Welcome Elizabeth."

"Where am I?" Elizabeth said responding to a voice that came from nowhere.

"Don't be afraid. Your safe here. You shouldn't be here yet Elizabeth. Your
time hasn't come yet."

"Am I in heaven?"

"If you want to call it that then yes."

"What am I doing here?"

"Your here to carry out a mission."

"A mission."

Suddenly and figure appeared before her. She was beautiful she had long
curly blonde hair. Her face was simple but yet so complex.

"A mission that requires you to see me."

"Who are you?"

"All will be answered. Just remember true love can never be denied."

"True love?" Liz said as the figure disappeared. She ran through the
forests and clouds but she couldn't find her. She woke up gasping and she
quietly got out of bed as not to wake up Lucky. He just turned slightly. She
couldn't forget that woman in the forest. She found paper and a pecil. She
spent all night sketching every detail that was etched into her brain. Every
line was connected perfectly. She put down the paper and fell asleep on the
couch. Lucky woke up with a start. He noticed Elizabeth was next to him
anymore. He felt for her pressence. He got up and then saw her on the
couch. He brought his comforter to her when he saw the picture. He grabbed
it from her hands. and dropped the comforter. He stood there in shook.

"Cindy?" he said.

Chapter 9

Lucky stood there dumbfounded while Elizabeth began to stir.

"Good morning Lucky," she said while yawning.

"Where did you get this?" Lucky asked.

"Get what?" Liz replied.

"This picture."

"I drew it last night."

"You, drew this? I though you didn't do portraits."

"I don't. This woman came to me in a dream and I knew if I didn't draw her
then and there I would never remember the way she looked."

"Impossible."

"What's impossible?"

"This everything. Are you telling me the truth?"

"Oh course I am I have no reason to lie to you Lucky."

"Did you find a picture of her and just dreamed about her?"

"Who? You know who this is."

"It's Cindy."

"You've gotta be kidding. That's impossible."

"It doesn't make sense."

"I don't know what's happening. How could this?"

"What did she say to you?"

"She told me she was sending me on some sort of mission. Mission of true
love or something like that."

"Mission of true love?"

"That makes it sound more obsurd."

"Do you mind if I keep this?"

"Of course not."

"She looks so beautiful."

"She was, wasn't she. She looks perfect."

"That's what she was perfection."

"Lucky I think this was a sign saying that she's okay."

"You think?"

"Of course that's what it is a sign."

"I'll always miss her."

"Hey, she'll miss you too but that doesn't mean you can have a life of your
own without her."

"You know your really understanding."

"It's a bad habit."

"I don't think so I think it's a good one. To think a couple of days ago we
detested each other."

"And now it's like we've known each other forever."

"Weird huh?"

"I've seen weirder."

"In Port Charles?"

"Everthing happens in Port Charles."

"So am I going to have my lesson here today?"

"Not if you want clay everywhere."

"Hmm. I don't know if it'll match the carpet."

Liz giggled and gave him a friendly shove.

"How about a day off from art?"

"A whole day. Are you sure that won't disrupt from your teaching?"

"Oh you sound so sad Lucky."

"What do you suggest we do?"

"Climb mount everest."

"Ha. Ha. Ms. Webber. How about a game of poker?"

"Poker, playing for what."

"How about Strip Poker?"

"You've got to be kidding."

"Care to take me up on it?"

"Are you sure you want to get into this?"

"I'm quite sure."

"Okay."

Well Elizabeth decided to play and as soon as the first hand came out Lucky
won. Liz took off her cardigan. And that's as far as she got. Hand after
hand she keeped on winning hands and well Lucky was down to his bare minimum,
his boxer shorts. He couldn't believe his luck (okay sidetrack here. By
the way I typed lucky instead of luck when I first did that. I can't help
but alwasy type Lucky. Anyway if I were Liz I would be taking off my clothes
anyway. I mean she has a practically naked Lucky there. Actually I'm the
author, I can do anything but this isn't a little porn. We like to keep
things PG-13 around here. Notice how I don't even cuss. Well I do a lot in
real life but not in this. Okay that was for Denise back to the story).
Even cheating wasn't helping him. Whatever hand he had Elizabeth had better.
This time he had all 4 aces, nothing she had could beat him.

"Frou aces, read them and weep."

"Oh, that is a tough hand to beat-"

"Ha you couldn't beat it."

"Oh I didn't say I couldn't beat it. I just said it was a hard hand to beat
but I have a royal flush, read those and weep."

"Your cheating."

"You are too Lucky. Guess your luck has run out."

"Oh come on you wouldn't do this to me now would you?"

"Take them off."

Just then Luke and Laura walked in on the scene. (No they don't have a key
but come on Luke can break into any place).

"Mama Bear, Papa Bear."

"This isn't what it looks like Mom and Dad." Lucky said.

"Really Cowboy trying to pull on over on the old man." Luke said.

"Oh Luke. It looks like an old fashioned game of strip poker." Laura said.

"It actually is." Liz said.

"That's my little princess giving him a run for his underwear." Luke said.

"I learn from the best." Liz said.

"You mean you taught her how to play poker dad? But I can beat you any day."
Lucky said.

"No Lucky I did." Laura said.

"Mom, you? Come on no way."

"You had to get it someplace didn't you? Besides she has natural talent.
What I don't understand is why her cadigan is off." Laura said.

"Oh I let him win the first one to undermine his mind." Liz.

"Oh you make me so proud." Laura said.

"What about me your poor suffering son here?" Lucky said.

"Put your clothes on in front of ladies Cowboy. Now how is my little
princess doing. Barbara Jean gave us a ring about what happened." Luke said.

"Nothing just a little too much Jake Daniels in me." Liz said.

"Are you okay honey?" Laura asked.

"I'm fine. Really you guys don't have to worry." Liz said.

"Well my son has earned the title of super hero. Way to go Cowboy." Luke
said.

"It was nothing." Lucky.

"I have to give him credit when credit due. It wasn't nothing it was
something. In fact I owe you two favors." Liz said.

"Well how about stopping this game of poker as is and letting me keep that
portrait you drew and we'll call it even." Lucky said.

"I don't know I mean I did win fair and square." Liz said.

"Come on please I beg you."

"You begging? This is a first. Deal."

"Princess what portrait you hate that stuff. In fact you've never done one."
Luke said.

"It was like someone else was moving my hand. Like someone took over my
body. I was dreaming and suddenly this woman appeared. I had to remember
her. She was so vivid and clear. I had to remember her." Liz said.

"Dad your never going to believe this. Look who she drew." Lucky said
handing him the picture.

"Cynthia Danner. Cindy. Little Cindy." Luke said shocked sitting down.

"We found it pretty strange." Lucky said.

"It must be some kind of sign." Laura said.

"Oh you don't believe in that mojo crap. It's just a coinsidense. Liz
probably saw a picture of her and forgot about it." Luke said.

"I burned all of her pictures dad." Lucky said.

"I don't know but there is some explaination for this." Luke said rubbing
his forehead.

"What's wrong dad?" Lucky asked.

"Just remembering something. Look your mom and I just came by to check up on
you folks but seeing as you ere busy we're going to get going." Luke said.

"Don't leave on account of the game." Liz said.

"I have to talk LuLu shopping anyway. Goodbye Princess. I'm glad your all
right." Laura said as she and Luke left.

"I love your parents." Liz said.

"So I can tell. It's cool how you guys seem really bonded." Lucky said.

"There just so wonderful and accepting. I mean take my parents they don't
even know I exist. It's Sarah this and Sarah that. "

"Sarah Webber? She's your sister."

"Yeah you know her?"

"Ms. Goody two shoes. She's always hit a nerve in me somewhere."

"You were obsessed with her weren't you."

"Not after I saw beyond the pretty looks."

"See that's what guys want and what I lack."

"First of all you are very beautfiul. Second of all guys want personality
too. I would have liked your sister more if she had one."

"She lacks in that department doesn't she. Oh and thanks."

"No problem. Just doing my job of being supportive truth telling friend."

"I can't believe I've gone through so many feelings about you in the past
week. It's crazy. I'm either in mood swing city or you are just a changable
person."

"It's the ego, sometimes it comes out to play sometimes it doesn't."

"See now your getting the hang of the ego jokes."

"So how are we spending the rest of the day?"

"I have an idea but I'm not sure if you'll like it."

"Tell me what it is."

"It's going to take some time to set up so how about you go down to the store
and buy some food that I'm going to write down and I should be ready by then."

"Elizabeth I can't go out in public. Someone will recognize me."

"There goes that ego again. Here take my scarf and my hat. Oh you look so
cute like a little old lady."

"Thank you Ms. Webber."

"Here's the list of stuff that you need to get. Be back here in about an
hour."

"It'll take me a hour to get through this list."

"I wasn't doing anything after breakfest so I wrote down a thing of two."

"Okay an hour it is. Don't I get a little hint."

"Not one hint at all Lucky Spencer. Now go. Come on scat."

"Fine, fine, fine but this better not make me want to puke."

"It won't now go."

"Okay okay you don't have to push."

Lucky left the suite and Liz picked up the phone.

"Hey Claire, it's me Elizabeth Webber. We met last night. I need to ask you
a favor."

Chapter 10

Lucky went out shopping as promised. No one noticed him. Elizabeth turned
out to be be right. He arrived back home in promptly one hour.

"I'm home!" he yelled coming into the penthouse. Then he noticed how it was
decorated. The room was filled with candles and from the ceiling hung
millions of stars. "Elizabeth? Elizabeth where are you?" Then he noticed a
note.

Dear Lucky,

I hope this makes up for the other night. Your doorbell is going to
ring in 5 minutes. I laid out clothes for you on your bed.

        Best Wishes,
            Your new best friend Elizabeth.

"What's going on Elizabeth? Well I better get changed and see who's at the
door in 5 minutes." Lucky quickly got changed and shaved. His 5 minutes
were up. The doorbell rang promptly. (Okay I know a doorbell in a penthouse
but we're thinking its a really nice one). He opened it and to his surprise
Tonya stood at the other end.

"Tonya what are you doing here?"

"Like you didn't know silly. After my Aunt Claire told me how much you
missed me and explained last night's misunderstanding I forgave you
immediatly. And the flowers you sent were amazing. You are so sweet Lucky
Spencer."

"That's me I guess."

"Oh and this room. It must have taken you forever."

"Just about." Lucky said. His mind was whirling with thoughts then suddenly
like a lightbulb went up in his head Elizabeth. She set this whole thing up
to make up for the other night. He was grateful to her for doing that.

"Well I know this is a short visit my darling but I must run I have oodles to
do. Ta ta darling."

"Wait your not going to stay."

"Darling I have to go dine with a Prince. He insists."

"But I thought you and I."

"We are, we are I just promised him last night and you wouldn't want me to
break a promise would you?"

"I guess not."

"I'll miss you tons. Kiss kiss." Tonya said grabbing Lucky pulling him into
a steamy kiss. "Toodles." she waved and then she was gone. Lucky had to
sit down. In two seconds Tonya had re-entered his life and he was dating her
again. All thanks to Elizabeth. She was a wonderful friend. He owed her.
Thoughts swirved into his mind. An idea popped into his head. He took a
piece of papar from a notepad and started writing down words. His mind was
moving at a fast pace. His guitar flew into his hand as he put the words to
tune. Suddenly Elizabeth popped through the door. He stopped playing
immediatly.

"Don't stop on account of me." Liz said.

"I just um thanks Elizabeth."

"For the Tonya thing. I figured heck why not."

"It was really generous of you. Well I figured I owed you one for letting me
stay here."

"Which reminds me you need your rest."

"I'm fine Lucky."

"Where did you go?"

"I just took a little walk. Nothing harmful. Then I spied Tonya coming out
of the building so I figured it was safe for me to come back in. Why was she
in such a hurry?"

"She had things to do."

"So how did it go?"

"I guess we're dating again."

"Good I'm happy for you. Now play me that song your writing."

"Oh I dont play songs until I finished. It's the way my mind works."

"Well then as soon as your done."

"How long did it take you to make this place like this?"

"Not that long. I almost didn't make it. I saw you heading up so I climed
down the fire escape."

"You didn't. In you condition."

"I have no condition. Like I told you I'm fine. Just a scar on my head."

"A mighty big one."

"It's fine."

"Well we might as well not let these decorations go to waste."

"Are you suggesting what I think you are?"

"How about a little mini party of our own."

"I'd be delighted Mr. Spencer."

"Well I bought what you wanted me to so why don't we cook up something."

"Have I ever told you the only thing I can cook is brownies. I have a
problem cooking other things."

"I bet you don't."

"Oh trust me I do. How about I supervise. I'll find someplace in here for
Cindy's picture."

"That would be great Liz. Thanks again. I owe you a lot."

"Hey you don't owe me I mean now that I have the title of being best friend I
think a best friend does these types of things for another."

"Your the best. The best there is."

"I know."

"Stop being so cute about it too."

"But I can't help be what I am."

"Well I think I should help you out too."

"How are you going to do that?"

"Have a talk as usual."

"Okay, about what?"

"About your past relationships."

"Oh my millions of past relationships." Liz said sarcastically.

"Let's start with Todd."

"You know the funny thing is before I met Todd I didn't think I was going to
have a serious boyfriend until I was 38. And by then I would drive him
insane or something."

"I like how you think positively."

"That's me Ms. Optimist. Anyway this is what was going to happen. I'd take
my boyfriend to Disneyland and he'd dump me there. A childhood fantasy."
(Sorry my friend just said that the other day and I just had to put that in).

"Yeah mine too going to Disneyland with my chick and as I'm getting Goofy's
autograph she dumps me."

"Shut-up."

"This didn't really happen did it?"

"Of course not."

"So tell me about him."

"He's 6'2". Surfer body with dark rebel looks. He's the stereotypical tall,
dark, and handsome person."

"Sounds a lot like me."

"Someone's ego is coming back."

"I can't help it."

"Well maybe on the outside the same as you but inside he was a two timing
cheat."

"That bastard!"

"Did I ever tell you I punched the sucker out. One two boom. It was the
highlight of our relationship."

"I'm sure he thought so too."

"He was sweet too. He brought me roses everyday."

"Sounds like a nice guy there."

"The thing is I just-with him I couldn't just sit down and talk with him. It
felt strange. He was just a more in the heat of the moment type of person.
After him I changed."

"Into the Elizabeth I see now. To tell you truth I like this Elizabeth."

"She tends to grow on people."

"So how about some pasta."

"Oh well we can't deny ourselves of that can we?"

"No of course not. So tell me about the happier Todd moments."

"We would have fun, he was the greatest guy. I could totally let loose with
him. I let myself feel free. Now I don't know everything about me is
different. He was the one who told me to chase after my dream of being an
artist."

"Good choice."

"I'm not so sure."

"Why not?"

"It's like my whole life I've been waiting to draw this one picture but I
haven't been able to. I look at the things that I've painted or sketched and
it just doesn't have enough feeling."

"Elizabeth you are the most talented person I've ever met. If you died your
artwork would sell like hotcakes."

"So you want me dead now?"

"No I'm just saying people need attention grabbing things to get interested."

"The consumers today."

"Why don't you glam it up or-"

"I know your just trying to be nice and all but I just I'm not that type of
person."

"I had a feeling you would be."

"You know me so well already."

"I also know you would just love to finish that game of strip poker."

"Maybe."

"But I"m not nice enough to give you the satisfaction."

Liz smiled and Lucky returned it. They laughed. He took her hand.

"Come on one game of twisted twister."

"Twisted twister?"

"My kind of game. Just like regular twister but when you lose you have to
take off a piece of clothing."

"So like strip twister."

"Oh yeah."

"Would your girlfriend approve?"

"Forget her come on just play. Let me earn back some dignity."

"You talked me into it."

"Good."

"But underwear only. That's when we stop."

"What's the fun in that?" Lucky yelled as she went to Lucky's game room.

And so the game began. What Lucky didn't tell her was that he was all time
champion of twisted twister and let's just say Liz already took off her top.
Lucky was astonded by her body. He couldn't believe that was the same Liz at
all and she had to take off her pants this time.

"Take them off."

"Have a heart Lucky."

"No, I don't think so. Your going to be treated just like me."

"Oh so that's how it works around here."

"Fine."

Little did Lucky know that Liz came prepared. She unzipped her pants and
took them off.

"Boxers?"

"I took a pair from you."

"You realize that's cheating."

"No more than you."

"Elizabeth dear, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship."
