"Liz, I can't. We have to stop this. We have to talk about this." He said turning to face her. His dark brown hair in his eyes and his deep blue eyes still however aprkling in the moonlight.

"Talk about what?" She asked really knowing what.

He crossed over to the bed and sat next to her. "The fact that our marriage isn't real! Your not madly in love with me. I'm just a replacement for someone else."

"Joe that's crazy! Why would you think that?" she asked.

"This!" He exclaimed as he pulled open his nightstand drawer and found a newsclipping. He threw it down on the bed. "Him, Dr. Lucas Spencer of General Hospital, Port Charles."

"Joe, Lucky and I dated in high school that's all."

"Sure and I'm a king of the world. Listen Liz, if you want a divorce just tell me. I'll give you one. I love you with all my heart but damnit if your not happy with me I know I have to let you go."

Three Months Later~

Elizabeth looked down at the newsclipping, "Dr. Lucas Spencer to marry Dr. Emily Quartermaine, this june...."

Elizabeth stood up and looked at the envelope on the table. Joe had divorced her and now her marriage was over. Yet she couldn't be with the one man she wanted. He was going to get married in a matter of weeks. She walked over to the mirror by her door and pulled her hair on top of her head. "I could still get him if I wanted him. Which I do." She said her voice filled with sadness.

"Only one thing I can do though." she said as she picked up the phone and dialed. "Hello, yes I need a one way ticket to Port Charles, New York....For Elizabeth Webber. Yes friday is good, thank you."
