Chapter 1:


Luke looked at his 3-week-old grandson with pride.Lorenzo was a big,healthy baby,with a head-full of thick black hair,and sharp green eyes.He definately had Lucky's mouth and smile...but,he had a lot of Emily in him,too.

Emily:(coming in)Hey,Luke.
Luke:Hey,sweetheart.
Emily:I just got back from Laura's...she says Nikolas and Liz are bringing their daughter here.
Luke:Daughter?
Emily:Yeah...she's a week old.
Luke:Oh...
Emily:(sighs)I'm glad in way,cause Laura says they want to move back,and patch things up...but...is it bad if it worries me?
Luke:Worries you how?
Emily:I don't know,exactly...that's what makes it so irrational.
Luke:When it comes to Cassadines,no worry is irrational.
Emily:Thanks,Luke...you won't say anything?
Luke:(putting a fatherly arm around her shoulders)Nah...your secret's safe with me.

Meanwhile,on a private jet,Liz & Nikolas sit with their infant daughter...

Liz:Just think,Clarice...pretty soon we'll be in Port Charles,and you'll get a new big-brother!
Nikolas:Are you sure this is right,Liz?
Liz:Yes...Don't you think they should pay for their sins?
Nikolas:Yes...you're right,dear...they must pay for what they put you through.

Chapter 2:


When they had decided to get married,Sonny had gotten them the 3rd penthouse up there,sorta between and behind his and Jason's.It was big and roomy,and...they had it all to themselves for a few hours.Emily dressed up in her pretty green kimono,and had candles everywhere.She sat on the couch to wait for Lucky...

Lucky:(coming in)Em?What---
Emily:Hello,lover.
Lucky:Hello...(he flicks a glance upstairs)What about---
Emily:He's staying with your mom for a few hours.
Lucky:Oh,okay.

He pulls her to him and kisses her passionately.They fall onto the couch,and she rips his shirt open,running her hands over his masculine chest.He takes it completely off,tossing it aside,and starts running his hands through her soft,thick hair,and begins kissing her neck...

Suddenly,there is a frantic knocking at the door.Lucky gets up,relunctantly,to open it,still shirtless,and Emily re-adjusts her kimono.

Laura:(borderline hysterical)Oh,Lucky!I'm so sorry!
Lucky:Calm down,mom...What happened?
Laura:Well...Nikolas and Liz came over tonight,right?
Lucky:Yeah...
Laura:Well,they wanted to take Clarice and Lorenzo for a little walk...so I said okay.
Lucky:(fighting his growing apprehension)And?
Laura:And I haven't heard from them for over 3 hours!

Chapter 3:


Without a word,Emily dashed past them into the hall,and barged right past Johnny into Sonny's apartment.Then men looked up in shock to see their meeting disturbed by a forlorn damsel in a robe.

Jason:Emily?
Emily:Lorenzo'sbeenkidnaped!
Jason:Honey,slow down...Now,what happened?
Emily:Lorenzo!They took him!
Sonny:Who?
Emily:Liz and Nikolas!

Just then,Lucky(his shirt on but still unbuttoned),followed by Laura,came in.By now,Emily was nearly in hysterics,and Jason was helping her to the couch,trying to calm her.

Jason:What happened,Lucky?
Lucky:Nikolas and Elizabeth took Lorenzo.
Laura:It's been over 3 hours!
Sonny:And you're just now---
Lucky:She didn't know.They offered to walk him and never came back.
Sonny:(to the men)Well,you heard 'em...Start lookin'!

Liz:My beautiful Lorenzo...

He starts fussing,so she picks him up to shush him.

Liz:Yes...Don't worry,little one...You're with your real mommy now.

Chapter 4:

And,though disguised as pure love,
a forgotten son should fit like a glove.
But,behind the mask,there's a task.
I've aquired a rash that seems to itch.
I just might scratch it.

By now,Lucky had taken over the job of comforting Emily,and Jason was following their one lead.Finally,Luke showed up.

Luke:What happened?
Laura:Oh...Luke...

She tearfully explained what happened,and he just wrapped her comfortingly in his arms.

Luke:Shhh.S'ok,babe...we'll find him...gonna be okay...

Suddenly,Jason burst in.

Jason:All set;they're as good as got.

Chapter 5:


Luke:How?
Jason:Well,after I...persuaded the airport guy to give me some info.,I found out that they can only land on a strip owned by that place.I got guys stationed at each one.
Emily:So,we'll have him back soon?
Jason:Yeah...don't worry...But,we can't risk flyin' 'em back.
Lucky:Excuse me?
Jason:We have to go get them.Keep them on ice until then...It's the safest thing.
Sonny:He's right...the guys'll give ya a call and tell ya where anytime now.

Emily calmed down immediately.Jason said it'd be okay,and she trusted him completely.Lucky had some doubts about this,but kept them to himself for Emily's sake.

Chapter 6:


Suddenly,Nikolas burst into the apartment alone.

Lucky:(grabs him wrathfully)Where's my son?
Nikolas:I don't know!Liz took your son,along with my daughter,and I don't know where they are!I told her it was wrong...I couldn't stop her...
Lucky:(still not releasing his vice-grip)So,you're telling me you had nothing to do with my kid's disappearance?
Nikolas:Of course not!Why would I come here if I did?
Lucky:Em?You trust him?
Emily:I don't know...but,we don't really have much choice...Besides,if he's tellling the truth,we can help each-other.

Lucky relunctantly let go of him.

Nikolas:Thanks,Emily...I know I've given you reason not to trust me in the past---
Emily:(holds up a hand)Which it won't help anyone to rehash.(glances at her attire)I...I'd better go get dressed now.I'll be right back.(leaves)

After she had left,Luke grabbed him by the arm.

Luke:(coldly)If you're lyin',you're a deadman.
Nikolas:If we don't find them,I am anyway.

Chapter 7:


For 7 days,and 7 nights,Harold marched.
On Christmas,not a day off.
He labored for his wife,and his child.
In hopes someday,they'd run wild...

Then one night,the hand of God took control.
His rightous wrath took it's toll.
Can his lungs rise above the crashing waves?

After what seemed like years(but was actually only a couple of hours),they finally got the call.Liz had been caught,and was being held by one of their men in Ireland.

Emily:The kids?
Sonny:They're fine.

Emily closed her eyes & put her hand on her chest in a silent prayer of thanks.

Sonny:Plane's ready.
Luke:Let's hit it.

The plane ride was silent,as all the passengers willed it go faster,When they reached the meeting point,they practically ran inside.But...the sight that met their eyes filled them with horror.

Lucky:(kneeling beside the fallen man)He's dead.

Chapter 8:


Lucky:They can't have gotten far;he's still warm.

They all rushed out in the frantic search.

Simple minds,they may clash.
But,complex brains soothe like a rash.

Before that day,one last fight.

It wasn't a very long race.They spotted her pretty quickly,and dashed after her.She was finally cornered at the edge of a cliff nearby...

Lucky:Elizabeth,don't.

Liz:Our son,Lucky.Remember?I was supposed to be the mother of your children.These are our twins...
Lucky:(with a patience he didn't feel)They are not twins,Elizabeth.They're cousins;2 weeks apart!
Liz:NO!

Lucky:Elizabeth,please...Emily is Lorenzo's mother,and Nikolas is Clarice's father.
Liz:(falls on the ground)(weakly)No...

Liz collapsed in a heap of sobs,and Lucky grabbed the buggy pushing it to Emily.

Liz:(jumps up wrathfully)Liar!You tricked me!

Emily scooped up Lorenzo & Nikolas picked up Clarice.

Liz:No!This isn't how it's supposed to be...

Nikolas:Liz!

As she was speaking,she kept backing up & fell off.Lucky ran to catch her,but...it was too late.

Chapter 9:


After the Irish authorities had recovered Lizzie's body,there were only a few questions before they were allowed to go home.The plane ride was strange...somehow lacking.

Nikolas:I kept the deed to the cottage...I was gonna move us all in there.
Laura:(gently)You still can.You and Clarice.
Lucky:Yeah,man...the kids can grow up together.
Nikolas:Really?
Lucky:Yeah.(takes Lorenzo back from Em)What'cha think,little guy?Huh?
Luke:(his arm around Laura)And,she'll have her Grandma Spencer.
Laura:(looks up at him slyly)And Grandpa Spencer?
Luke:You betcha,babe.

They kiss.

Lucky:When---
Luke:(shrugs)Who knows?Wanna be my best man,Cowboy?
Lucky:(happily)Yeah!
Laura:And,Nikolas?Would you like to give me away?
