| Chapter 2: The Next morning Lucky wakes up and puts on a pair of Sweets. Lulu comes busting in, extremely hyper. Lucky: Shortcake, what are you doing? Lulu: Mommy and me are going to the Mall today! Do you wanna come? Lucky: Okay, give me a few minutes to get dressed ok? Lulu: (looks at the sweatshirt) What’s Centaurus? Lucky: My ex-roommate Leigh went there for high school. She gave me these before she transferred to a school in New Jersey. Lulu: Was she your girlfriend? Lucky: No, just a friend a good friend. What’s with all the questions? Lulu: Emily say’s I ask a lot of Questions because I’ve curious. Lucky: You talk to Emily a lot? Lulu: Since you went away, (lowers her head and looks at the floor) Emily told me once that she wishes she had gotten to you at the airport. I don’t know what she means by that but I think she means she wanted you to stay. Just like I did. Lucky: Shortcake come here. (he pulls her onto the bed next to him and hugs her) You know I only went away because CU at Boulder has the program I wanted. If PCU had it I never would have left. Lulu: I know. I’ll go tell Mommy, Aunt Bobbie, Lizzie and Emily your coming with us. Lulu ran out of the room before Lucky could stop her. She was back, she was here again. She wasn’t there for him though. She was there because she was marrying Nikolas in only a matter of days, she was family just like Liz was family. Lucky was off somewhere alone. Emily and Lulu stopped in front of the Jewelry store and look at the pendants. Emily saw one, it was turquoise and as she looked at it she thought back to when she and Lucky ran away. Lulu looked up. Lulu: Which one do you like? Emily: (pointing to the pendant.) The turquoise one. Lulu: I like it. Someone puts their hands over Emily’s eyes and she jumps. She turns around and sees Lucky smiling. Emily: Lucky Spencer, you haven’t even been back one day and already you’ve tried to give me a heart attack twice. She hits him with her purse and Lulu smiles. Lucky: Sorry Em, but your so easy to scare. Emily: You better be. (looks at her watch) Shot! Lucky will you take Lulu home, I would but I’m running late for a meeting with the wedding planner. Lucky: Of course. Hey Shortcake. Lulu: Hey Lucky. Emily gives Lulu a hug. Lulu: He likes you and you like him. Emily: If you say so kiddo. Bye. Emily leaves and Lucky turns to Lulu. Lucky: So Shortcake, what were you and Emily looking at? Lulu: A Turquoise pendant. Lucky: Really? Who liked it you or Emily. Lulu: Emily loved it, she got this far away look on her face like she was thinking of something long ago. Lucky: Are you sure your only seven? Lulu: Yeah. Lucky: Think she would like it for Christmas? Lulu: Lucky, do you like Emily? Lucky: Why would you ask that? Lulu: Your in love with her. Lucky: What? Lulu: Last night you wanted to really kiss her didn’t you. Lucky: No Comment Lu. Lucky looks at the pendant deciding then he would get it for Emily. She may never know it but it would be his way of having some piece of him with her always. ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~ Lucky and Lulu walk into the Spencer house. Lucky has a dark Purple bag from the Jewelry store. As Lulu takes off her coat she gives her brother a look and smiles. Lucky notices this look and sighs. Lucky: What is it Lulu? Lulu: Lucky, you and Emily are so obvious! I mean gees, You love her she loves you! Gosh! Lucky: What makes you say Emily Loves me or that I love her? Lulu: The way she looks at you, the way she seems to glow when you’re around, the fact that she tried to stop you the night you left. You well, the way you look at her, the way you brighten up when she’s in the room, the fact that you bought that pendant for her, also the way your eyes connected last night before you kissed. Lucky: Your only Seven right? Lulu: Yeah. Lucky: Where do you hear things like that? Lulu: Lizzie, when ever she’s writing one of her stories. There usually about these lonely girls who fall in love with Princes. Lucky: Interesting… Lulu: So you gonna tell Em? Lucky: Tell Em what? Lulu: That you love her! Lucky: I don’t, just give it a rest already. Lulu: Fine, you don’t love her. ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~ Laura was sitting at the kitchen table going over a list for Christmas Eve dinner. Lulu walked in, her face was filled with sadness. Laura looked up and quickly became concerned with her youngest child. Laura: Lulu, what’s wrong honey? Lulu: Lucky and Emily won’t admit they love each other. Laura: Excuse me, what on earth are you talking about. Lulu: (looks away) I can see it in there eyes, the way they act around each other, the fact that Emily tried to stop Lucky from leaving three years ago, The fact that Lucky bought Emily the turquoise pendant she was mesmerized by today. Laura: Lulu, that doesn’t mean anything. Lulu: Mommy, look at them next time there together you’ll see it. Laura: Lulu, do not go causing trouble. Nikolas and Emily will be getting married in only a matter of days. Lulu: But Mommy, Lucky loves Emily, and Emily loves Lucky. Laura: Please Lulu, this is nonsense! Lulu runs out of the kitchen and upstairs to her room. She closes the door behind her and leans against it. Lulu: Lucky and Emily will get together. The door to the bathroom opens and a woman walks out wearing a bathrobe, with a towel around her hair. Nikolas: You know how much I love you right?(she nods) Lizzie, please understand why I have to marry Emily. Lizzie: Because of your Families, I know honey, I really do. Nikolas: Someday you and I can be out in the open. Lizzie: I don’t know if I can wait for that. Nikolas: Please, Elizabeth you’re the only woman that has ever made me feel this way. Lizzie: Nikolas, you’re the only man that has ever made me feel this way. Nikolas: (pulls out a box from his pants pocket) Elizabeth, I want you to have this. Lizzie: (takes the box from his hands, and opens it revealing the Cassadine Medallion) Nikolas…. Nikolas: Elizabeth, please I want you to have this.
