New Years Eve

Chapter 1:
I looked out the window faceing the street. The snow fell slowly and covered the ground.
Then I looked up and saw Nikolas walking down the front path. My Heart was breaking as i
saw my sister Sarah run towards him and kiss him on the cheek. Damn it sarah. He doesn't
love you he loves me. I put my right hand on my neck as I tried to feel around for my gold
chain with the simple gold ring with a citrine stone on it. Nikolas gave it to me the day
he told me that some day we would be together and that he would always love me no matter
what happened. Yet I'm alone on New Years Eve. My Sister is out with the Man I love and
i'm stuck home alone. Even Gram is going out. I sighed again as I stood and walked towards
the door. I caught my reflextion in the mirror and saw the chain showing I quickly pushed
it back into it's hideing place. I slowly walked down the stairs to the front door. I
opened the closet door and grabbed my coat. As I opened the door to the house I put my
coat on and walked out. I started to walk away when i realized I left my purse and keys in
there. Damn. This is all Sarahs fault. I turned back and went inside. I grabbed my purse
and keys. Then I exited and locked the door. Wait a minute. Where am i going? God Lizzie!
I must be losing my mind. I continued to walk and when I stopped I was at the entrace to
the Catacombs.When I Got there I realized where I was. Our place. It was were we frist
kissed, It was were he gave me the ring, It's were he said he loved me. I began to cry as
the snow fell around me.
Chapter 2:
I stood their tears falling from my eyes. I felt at that moment Nikolas and I would never
be together. He would always be with Sarah. Damn Her! She always did this to me. Of course
now that I think about it I’m doing something to her. I have stolen the heart of
Nikolas Cassadine yet if I stole it does it mean he truly loved her? Elizabeth Webber Stop
it. He’s with Sarah even if he pledged his love to you. I pulled the chain out from
under my shirt. That’s it, I’m gonna wear it out in the open. I let it hang
there allowing the snow to fall on it. I just wish that Nikolas and I could be together. I
decided that it was to cold out and started to walk back to town. As I walked I clutched
the chain and ring. Then as I walked through the park I began to feel something was wrong.
I walked further in and then I saw it. Nikolas and Sarah were sitting on a Bench by the
fountain Kissing. I could hear him telling her how much he loved her, how much he would
always love her. My heart was breaking. I began to run before they could see me. When I
stopped running I realized I was at Kelly’s. I guess I could use some hot Chocolate.
I walked in and I could see Lucky behind the Counter with Jack Evans. Jack’s red hair
shined underneath the lights. I could see his gray eyes staring at me as they always did.
Jack had told me many times he loved me but I always told him there was some one else.
Well it was true, at least I thought it was. I waited for a few moments and then Lucky
came over. He asked me what I wanted and I told him. He then went to get the Hot
Chocolate. Jack looked at me and then our eyes meet. There were no sparks that I could
tell. Then for the love of god I never know why Jack walked over to me. He sat across from
me and asked me what was wrong. I simply replied Nothings wrong. Then He asked THE
question. Where did I get the ring I wore on the Chain. I hesitantly replied. From the guy
I love. I sighed after I had said it. It was true I did and do love Nikolas. I began to
feel tense when Lucky came back out. Jack left us alone and Lucky asked me what I was
doing that night. Nothing I shyly replied. He then asked me if I wanted to go see the new
Leonardo DiCaprio movie with me? I was shocked that Lucky Spencer the Guy I wanted all
last year until the night I kissed Nikolas was asking me out. I replied yes and told him
I’d meet him there. I finished my Hot Chocolate and left the money and started to
walk home. I went through the Park again and they were still there. This time however they
were talking. Something was off between them. I couldn’t tell what then I heard Sarah
say something about the Movies. Oh My GOD! Nikolas hates going to the Movies especially
since the only movie playing in town was the one Lucky and I would be seeing. New years
Eve was turning into hell and it was only 1:30 in the afternoon.
Chapter 3.
I could still here the word coming from Sarah’s mouth. The Movies Tonight. Leonardo
DiCaprio’s newest film. My Heart was breaking even more then it had already done so
that day. I clutched my Necklace again holding it close to my heart as I ducked behind a
bush to here more of their conversation. I could see Nicholas’s eye’s he
wasn’t thrilled about seeing the movie even if it was the best movie out right now,
even if Leonardo had won an Oscar for Titanic the year before. Nikolas hated sitting in a
theater watching a movie. My legs became weak as I saw my sister lean in to kiss him. When
there lips meet I fell and lose the hold of my chain. I quickly grabbed it again stood up
and ran out of the park. I immediately ran to Emily’s house. I ran up the long
driveway, then I ran towards the door. I knocked hard and rang the bell praying Either
Reginald or Emily would answer. Then Reginald swung open the door. I asked if Emily was
home he said yes she’s in her room and I could go up. As soon as I was in the house I
rushed up to Her room. I needed to talk to my Best Friend. My most trusted confidant and
she didn’t even know my feelings for Nikolas. Emily opened the door. I could see the
look on her face she knew something was wrong. I walked in still clutching the chain. Then
she asked me what I had in my hand. I had to answer her. Then with out thinking I told her
it was a symbol of Nikolas’s love and mine. I could see the expression on her face
turn from worry to utter shock. Then she said what are you talking about Liz? I got very
hesitant before I could answer her phone rang. She quickly answered it. I could tell
exactly whom she was talking to. It was Nikolas. Then I heard her say something I may
never forget. She said to him, "Don’t worry Nikolas, Lizzie is just fine."
After I heard that I looked up and saw on her face that Nikolas had told her about us. My
Heart was Racing waiting ask her When? How? And why she never said anything to me about
it. When I finished asking her she had only a few words to say. Nikolas told her. My heart
was somewhat relieved but I had felt guilty for not telling my bestfriend. Then Emily said
something. She said She understood why I didn’t tell her. Then she said that I should
look at the inscription on my ring. I did and Nikolas had had it inscribed to say New
Years Eve 1998 we’ll be together. It amazed me that it was able to fit. But I felt
pain in my heart when I realized that there was only 12 hours left until 1999.
Chapter 4:
Emily and I sat there for a few hours. She turned her television on and put on one of the
soaps. I think we were open minded that day. For some reason we immediatly became
interested about who Belinda was going to chose, Simon or Jack. Then there was the story
about Emerald and her drug use and Aruther James and his Alcholism. Both were engrossed in
the stories. Then I looked at the clock by Emily's bed. Oh god. I better get home and eat
and change before i meet Lucky at the movies. You know that this new movie is 4 hours
long. i said. Emily gave me a look. I'm not gonna make out with Lucky unless Sarah and
Nikolas are makeing out. Then I grinned. I'll make him jealous. We both giggled. Then i
said. Em, How about we call Jack and Lucky and see if they want to doulble. you can be
with jack and i can be with Lucky. Good idea she said. We called them and they said yes.
Jack was some what reluctant but i convinced him to go along. I left Emily's a few minutes
later to go home and change. It's New Years Eve i thought and i'm not gonna sit around
waiting for Nikolas. I walked home clutching my ring again. If Nikolas was with Sarah
instread of me then Hell I'll have fun. I opened the door to my room and my Sister sarah
was sitting at her desk writeing in her journal. I said hello wanting to rip her to
shreds. She looked up and smiled then siad, Hello back and asked how my day was. I walked
over to the closet and answered her. It's was OK. I'm going to see the new Leonardo
Dicaprio movie with Lucky, Emily and Jack. Sarah then said, well maybe i'll see you there.
i convinced Nikolas to go. Interesting i said and then pulled out a pair of jeans, a Black
Turtle neck and a Orange Sweater. Then i found dome black socks and began to get dressed
it was 6:30 and the movie starts at 7:15. After i finshed getting dressed i grabbed my
purse and ran out of the room. then i realized i had let the necklace in the rom. I ran
back and found sarah was not in the room. The Necklace was were i had left it undisturbed.
I stood out side the theater already buying the tickets sonce i wanted to make sure i saw
the movie. Emily was walking down the street and i could tell something was up. Whats
wrong I said when she was stnading next to me. Nothing, just that my frined Sly called and
he's coming to town tomarrow. Thast should be a good thing right? I asked Well, he Lucky
and I were very close and well he and Lucky grew apart and then I grew apart form both so
it's not the best thing i'm looking foward to. Well i said, It'll be a new year and things
change in a new Year. Then Jack and Lucky walked up behind us. Lucky tapped me on the
shoulder and i slightly screamed not expecting it. lukcy i yelled. I could tell he was
expecting for some harshe words but then i said Take your damn ticket. i handed them each
a ticket and we walked into the building and then to the theater. We walked towards the
8th road in the 12 row theater. Jack and Emily sat next to eatch other and then I and
Lucky sat next to each other. then It happened. Sarah and Nikolas sat right infront of me.
Sarah leaned into kiss him and then i heard him say something about paying good money to
see the movie.
The movie began to play and went on for 2 hours. Lucky keept trying to make out. I wanted
yell and Scream that i love his brother.
Then the movie stopped for intermission. My Firends and I sat there and Sarah and Nikolas
were makeing out. Then Emily yelled, For god's sake Nikolas Lizzie is right here. Why
don't you just tell Sarah already. Nikolas and sarah turned around and stared at us. I sat
there waitng for a hole to open up and swollow me.
