CHAPTER ONE
Emily is sitting on the table of the Quatermaine table reading a teen love book. She was thinking about how the character in her book has such a complicated life. She said out loud, ''How many triangle can be found in a persons life?''
Just then Reginald walked in and said, ''Lucky is here to see you. He is in the living room. He says it is very important!''
Emily rushed into the living room and sees Lucky in a desperate mood. She asks, "What's wrong?''
''Em, Sly is in the hospital and is calling for you! You have to go see him! "Lucky exclaims. "He
Was in a car accident and is in critical condition.''

''Liz, are you up there!'' Sarah's voice rang out from the bottom of the stairs. Liz peeked out the door and said, ''I'm almost ready!'' She was getting ready for her big date with Lucky. They were going to the BIG dance at school.
The phone started ringing. Liz picked it up and said, "Hello, Hardy
residence!''
''Liz, I really need you, meet me at the hospital right now!" Lucky said
haltingly.
''Why what's the matter?''
''Just come, please sweetie?" begged Lucky. Liz said, "Alright I am through the door, and I love you!''

CHAPTER 2
Liz ran to the emergency floor and saw Lucky there. She asked, "What's wrong?''
Lucky answered, "Everything! You see, I have a cousin named Sly. He has been in a terrible car accident, and he needs blood. The thing is, your blood match is the only one with his blood type as I know of. Can you. . .''
''Oh Lucky of course! I'd do anything for you or your relatives!'' After all, she was his girlfriend.
Alan Quatermaine came in and saw them. He said, "We need blood, now!'' Liz immediately answered,''I'll give blood''

Sly looked up at Emily while lying on the hospital bed painfully. He started to say something, but Emily shushed him. ''Listen Sly, don't worry.''

Emily said, "Talking isn't going to help your condition. Listen, I'm going to go and Check on Lucky, okay?'' Emily left the room in a hurry.

Lucky saw Emily rush towards him and said, "How is he''
''I guess with the blood Liz is going to give, he will be all right. But. . .''

Suddenly Nikolas walked up to them and said, "What are you guys doing here?''
''My cousin is in the hospital, "Lucky replied curtly.
''Hi Nik, wussup? "Emily said.
''Not that good, for some reason, I have bruises all over my leg and need to get it checked out, oh brother!''
Lucky just rolled his eyes and went to check on Liz.

Liz woke up and saw a Lucky sitting there sleeping. Liz said sweetly, "Hey sleepyhead,
wussup?"
Lucky woke with a start,''Huh. . .what? Oh hey!'' He went and gave her a hug. ''We were all worried about you, you gave so much blood!''
''Yeah, s trailed off. "She saw Lucky looking skeptical and asked, "Is anything wrong
baby?''
''Well, I am just so sorry to mess up this evening for you, Liz. I know how much it meant to
you. But, I think there is something wrong with Nikolas.''
''What do you mean?''
''Well, with what he said, and what I saw, I think he has Cancer''
Liz paled, "But that's so sad!''
Lucky nodded grimly. He acted like nothing is wrong, but even I can tell he thinks the same
thing. After all, we both know what Leukemia is after Lesley Lou. . . .''
Liz got up and hugged him. ''I'll be out right now. And we can go someplace quiet so that we
can relax and think things through. Oh by the way, how is your cousin?''
''He is doing great, thanks to you. I mean, he will be out in a week!'' Lucky said smiling.

"What should I do about him?'' Emily asked Sarah. Sarah just shrugged. "I don't know Em, he does seem to like you, and you will have to tell him that you don't like Sly!'' They were at the Outback eating dinner.

hurt him!''
Sarah looked at Emily warily. ''You know girl, it seems like you like
him, bad!''
''No, I don't and anyhow why would I like him?''

''Listen, you are just fretting over this for nothing. If you don't like

Sly was wondering who that wonderful looking angel was outside his door. Lucky walked in

''Nah, I'm almost better, I was actually coming to see you when my car got hit.''
''Cool, why?''
''To decide about Emily''
''What do you mean?''
''I mean, at first I REALLY knew I wanted her as a girlfriend. But then
through my room door window, I saw this beautiful girl, with a great smile. What should I do''

Sly settled himself on his bed which was next to Lucky's. ''Man, if I only knew that a girl as
cute as her existed, then who knew. . .''
Lucky said, "Guess what?''
''What?''
''My girlfriend Liz is coming over, wanna meet her? She's bringing her sister.''
Sly sighed, "As long as they aren't my dream girl, fine by me!''

Nikolas stormed up the stairs and ran to his room. Stefan entered and aid,''Don't worry, you'll
get the best treatment there is!''
Nikolas looked squarly into his uncle's eyes.''But don't you see? If I need a bone marrow
transplant, it would be hard to look for one.''
''Why not Lulu?''
''She already had cancer, they don't allow that.''
''Well, we'll see. . . But in the meantime, pack up and call all the people you want them to
know.''
Stefan left the room. Nikolas picked up the phone and started dialing.

''Sarah isn't home. I'm sorry. . .sure. . .okay. . .urgent . .. bye!'' Liz hung up the phone. Just

''Of course you'll be expecting a guy,'' Liz said sarcastically.''It was Nikolas. He said it was urgent.''
''Well I'll call back later, he dumped me and I am not in the mood for him ever!''
''Well anyhow,let's go to Lucky's house now.''

Emily was lying on her bed thinking. Suddenly there was a knock on the door. ''Come in''
''Hello Emily dear, are you sick?'' Lila said to her.

''Well, all I have to say is follow your heart. And-'' Ring Ring! ''Em, phone for you!''AJ called
out. Emily ran out the room hoping it will be Sly and leaving Lila chuckling.

Sly just sat there being impaitient as Lucky got off the phone. Lucky said,''Quickly we have to
get to the hospital!''

pale. He leaned over to Lucky and said,''That's her!''

Lucky looked at Sly with an astounded face''Who are you talking about man?''''The blonde, she's amazing lookin''

On the other side of the room, Liz and Sarah were talking.''Thats the guy who I gave blood to. Sarah smiled evilly and said,''He is mine!''
The started to talk for awhile and Sly became bored with her. He realized what Lucky said and his heart went back to Emily. Lucky interrupted his thought and said,''Oh my god! I forgot! I got a call
from the hospital. Nikolas is there, we better go imediatly''
Sarah said bluntly,''I don't want to go see that son of a B^$#$. Why don't me and Sly stay here!'' She batted her eylashes and Sly shifted uncomfortably. ''No, I want to meet him'' So they all went.

Emily explained her problem to Nikolas. Nikolas looked straight into her eyes and said,''you love him and tell him that!''
Emily grinned sheepishly, ''yeah, I guess I should. I wish there was something I could do about you!'' Emily felt like crying. Nikolas was a close friend of hers and here he was, with Cancer. What was she to do!!
Just then, the door opened and walked in the four. Lucky looked at Nikolas and said, '''I'm sorry man. I really wish-''
''Emily already said that, but thanks.'' For the last 2 months they've been getting along as soon as Helena died.
As no one was watching, Emily and Sly slipped out.

Ch 6

Everyone went there own way. Liz and Lucky to Liz's house, Sly and Emily at the park. Nikolas is sleeping peacefully at the hospital. And Sarah. . . why don't we wait and see?

Lucky and Liz were making out on the sofa. Liz whispered in his ear,"Can you get me a drink?" Lucky walked out. Imeadiatly Liz started to cry. She knew where they were about to be headed. But what could she do? She knew what she wanted but is it what he wanted? Lucky walked back in.
"So, Liz, what made you so thirsty all of a sudden? My kissing?"Lucky said devilishly. Liz giggled nervously. She sipped her drink slowly. "Lucky, is um. . .any good shows on?"
"No. . .why?"
"Well lets watch music videos or something. . "She trailed off.
"Okay,"Lucky replied. He put on MTV and they began to watch. But soon they started to kiss again. This time Liz jumped up and said,"Oh my gosh look at the time. You better go, Gram will kill me!!" With that she ran upstairs, and Lucky left reluctantly.

"D#m% it!" Cried Nikolas into the blank room. Somehow for him nothing seemed to fit in. His world was coming to an End, and neither of his parents were there. One was dead, and one might as well be dead. Laura didn't care, Nikolas thought,"She only cares about Lucky and Lulu, even though me and Lucky have been friends for a while. Suddenly the door opened and Nikolas' eyes widened in suprise.

"So Emily, um. . .did you think about what I said the other day?"Sly said. They both were sitting at the bench in the park. Emliy's head was resting on Sly's shoulder. Emily looked up at him and said,"uh. . .yeah."

"Emily!" Sly said agitated."Is it a 'I love you too" or what?"
Emily looked into his eyes, and said"Yes Sly, I love you."
"Yesssss!!!!!!!!" Sly jumped up and twirled her around. Then he slowly let her go and they looked into each other eyes. Slowly, he bent his head towards her and kissed her. They kissed and kissed and not noticing the world around them. Not noticing the person behind the bushes. . .

Chapter 7
Emily got up to the wonderful chiter chattering of the birds. . .or maybe it was to the annoying argument of the Q's downstairs. It was Saturday, and her first official date with Sly!!!! She jumped out of bed, got ready and went downstairs.
"Hi Everyone!!"Emily cried out cheerfully.
"Well, now. Now ELQ is going to waste because Junior here is on the board" Ned said
"Oh shut up Ned!" Yelled Monica.
"Emily cleared her throat,"Hi everyone!!!"
"How to get Michael to live with us. . "Edward said.
"Oh stop, father. Can't you see how far this has gotten!" Alan said tiredly.
"Ned, I'm not the one that is making this family take the side of a crooks!!"AJ said haughtily.
Emily lost her paitience."WHOEVER CAN BE QUIET FOR THE NEXT 10 MINUTES, TILL I'M OUT, WILL GET SOMETHING REALLY SPECIAL FROM ME!! IT COULD INVOLVE A BABY. . " All of a sudden everyone got quiet and ate breakfast. As soon as Emily got out to leave, Monica asked,"What was that special thing?"
Emily smiled sweetly,"Its me saying, stay away from Michael. And that order needs to be followed!!" And she left laughing.

Liz woke up to her sisters banging around,"That b@#c&. trying to steal my things!"

Sarah looked up suprised,"Uh no. Never mind. Um Liz, where will you go to eat Breakfast?"
Liz looked at her with contempt. "First you wake me up. Then you go nosy around my business!!"
"Sorrrrrrrrry. I didn't mean to offend you. Did something happen to make you this angry?"
"What happened to you?"
"I asked you first."
"Well I asked second."
Sarah threw her hands up in frustration, and said," fine, neither of our problems need not to be said. Okay?"
Liz smiled and went to the bathroom," Okay. . .and Sarah?"
"What?"
"Don't take my miniskirt today, I'm gonna wear it."

Nikolas kept on thinking about what had happened last night. Luke had walked in and said he was bringing Laura to see him.
***FLASHBACK***
"Luke?!?!? What are you doing here?"
Luke went and sat down at his bed. "Look, you are Laura's son. So if you get sick and almost die, I have to tell her right?"
"You didn't tell her about the shooting at-"
Luke cut him off. "That was different. Plus you and Lucky have been becoming friends."

Nikolas looked up and saw Lucky walk in. Lucky said," Listen man, I have a problem, It's about Liz."

Chapter 8

Nikolas gave Lucky a strange look. "What do you mean you have a problem with Liz? You guys are like the perfect couple. You guys belong on a soap opera!!"
"Yeah, but yesterday, me and Liz were . . . Uh . . . making out, and she just ran upstairs and went to sleep. I left her house silently."
"Oh, were you guys getting really close?"
"Yeah, but so what?"
"So, maybe she thought . . ."
"What?"
"You were going to . . ."
"Man, doesn't she know that I won't hurt her!" Lucky jumped up from the bed. He looked at Nikolas straight in the eye. "Listen, if she really loves me. Then she would know I won't hurt her!!"
"Yeah, but she was . . . raped . . . that's different for her!"
"I know. But I won't do anything!"
Nikolas let out an exasperated sigh. "So tell her that and--" and then he started to gag. Lucky quickly got him the basket and Nikolas vomited. Lucky got green just looking at him getting sick. He and Nikolas were just getting along, and now he has a deadly disease, cancer!! Could life get any horrible!!
As soon as Nikolas was done, Lucky asked softly, "This was must be hard on you."
Nikolas gave a halfhearted laugh, "No actually, I love throwing up and getting rashes on my face. Yeah, life is really hunky-dory."
"I didn't mean that. I did have to watch Lulu go through this. It was horrible and I hated not doing anything about it. And now you! How are you going to find a match?" Lucky asked Nikolas with a sense of urgency.
Nikolas replied, "Well, they will keep me on Chemo for the first round. If this doesn't work, then Bone Marrow."
"Oh, so how is Chemo working?"
"Well, with throwing up and feeling horrible, I would say . . . nope!!"
"Lucky looked at his watch. "I better go, I'm supposed to work at Kelly's today." Lucky walked out the door feeling more down then he did coming in.

Emily couldn't stop laughing. Sly was so funny!! Sly looked at Emily and said, "So do you want to go water-skiing?"
Emily looked at him skeptically, "how would you water ski in good old Port Charles?"
"Easy."
"How Easy?"
"Very easy."
Emily picked up her Orange juice and said, "If you want this on your head, then don't tell me!" Sly hopped off his chair and ran out the door crying, "follow me Emmy!" Emily ran out yelling, "Don't call me Emmy, Slime!!"
Liz watched them run out the door and sighed. Just then Lucky walked in. Man, he looked so fine, it wasn't even funny!! Lucky walked in and called out, "Aunt Ruby, I'm here!!"
Liz started to fidget. What would Lucky say about yesterday? But before she could say anything, Lucky pulled her into the back and said, "What is up with you!"
Liz burst into tears. She gasped, "Lucky I'm so sorry! I was just freaking out yesterday when you kissed me I thought that you were going to. . ."
Lucky pounded his fist at the table, "That I what! Was going to rape you! Liz!!!! If you don't trust me enough then I don't think we should go out!" And with that, Lucky left, leaving Liz running to the bathroom.

Sarah looked through the window of Nikolas' room. She missed him so much. Sometimes she wished he would come crawling back to her. But know she knew what she had to do, and it was going to be done now.
"Sarah?" she turned around, and saw Sly looking at her, and beside him stood her competition, Emily.

Chapter 9

Sarah gave a crooked smile and said, "Well if it isn't Mr. Cheater and Miss Stealer. What a wonderful surprise. "Emily looked at Sarah and said, "What is this about Sarah?"
Sly echoed, "Yeah, what is this about?"
"Sorry, I'm just in a bad mood. I better go and give this to Nikolas, I would like to give this to him in private, if you don't mind." And she walked into the room. Emily looked at Sly and shrugged. So instead of intruding, They sat down in the waiting room.

"Sarah, what a surprise!" Nikolas said. He looked more pale then every. Everyone knew about Nikolas' sickness. Even Laura. He had gotten a call from her telling him that she is coming on the next flight.
Sarah sat down on the bed gently, "How are you feeling Nik?'
"As good as it can get."
"Oh Nik. . . "
"There is no bright spot here!"
"There is no bright spot at the castle either."
Nik grinned, "Yeah, good point. So what brings you here?"
"Can't I come and visit you?"
"Yeah. . . but. . ."
"I know things are tense between us, but it would be good to be friends now." Sarah said sweetly.
"Oh I forgot!" She pulled out a box. "Emily told me to give you this." Nikolas took the box and opened it. In it was a note. It read:
"This charm is for you to keep,

Inside was a blue crystal heart, just sitting there. Nikolas' eyes widened in surprise. "I didn't know she felt that way about me!"
Sarah innocently replied, "What way?"
Nikolas cleared his throat, "Um, do you know where she is?"
"Yeah, she is in the waiting room, want me to call her?"
"Go ahead." And with that reply Sarah swished out of the room, smiling gleefully.

Liz couldn't believe it! Lucky broke up with her!! She had finished throwing up. She came out and saw Lucky standing there. She yelled out to Ruby, "I'm taking the afternoon off!!" And she ran past him.
Lucky began to follow her. It was irritating him how careless she was about him. Didn't she trust him? He grabbed her hand.
Liz whirled around tossing her short brunette hair. "So now what? You want to lecture me on how don't trust you, again? Or is it something new?"
Lucky let out a deep breath. This was going to be harder than he thought. He looked into her eyes and said, "I have one thing to say to you, and it has nothing to do with what happened. "
"What is it about. Something I should care about?" Liz said promptly. She hated arguing with Lucky. She began to think, "I need to see if he doubts my trust, or if he just was another selfish, bloodsucking guy, who didn't give a d$%n about anyone but their sex-hungry self" What she didn't realize she was whispering this.
Lucky's eyes got large and angry. He began to see red. "What, what did you say?"
Liz looked surprised, "What, what did-"
"Look forget it, you're just a girl. You ain't worth it," he replied haughtily and stumped off. Liz eyes filled with water. She didn't even realize as the tears started to fall.
